Do I wish Kyle would play better? Obviously. But his stagnant offense is not the reason this game was lost. That was why I jumped into this whole discussion in the first place.
You know who else is supposed to be a senior? Kwamain. He's also had four years under RM and has completely regressed from his Sophomore year. He has the potential to be infinitely better, yet he hasn't shown up the last several games.
He got worked against Kevin Dilllard, Lyons & Holloway, and now that midget on Umass. I expected more.

I can't figure out how Cassity is getting so much blame for this one. Mitchell had an awful game. He needs his offense to get going and his defense has been very bad at times throughout the season. I had a lot higher hopes for Mitchell than Cassity before the season and I don't think Mitchell is playing anywhere near the level he is capable. We need him going more than anything for us to be a top team. Cassity isn't the guy to take us to a different level. Sure, I would like Kyle to play better but Mitchell is the guy we need to get going.

Just called the Fieldhouse and a lovely lady named Jessica answered the phone - told me to call back tomorrow between 9-2 when the owner will be there. Said they have directv, but have been able to get most of the games - again, she wasn't 100% positive. I'll let y'all know when I find out.
I just looked and the game is on DirecTV if you have the sports pack. It is on 630 at my household - at least that is what my TV listing is showing.

Usually the CCIN games are on either channel 3 or 8.

Can anyone who has DirectTV check to see if the game is going to be on?
I have the sports pack on DirecTV and couldn't find the game on for tomorrow. Hope it shows up somewhere but I don't see it now, which sucks. The listing on the SLU website says it is on CBS Sports regional, which I'm guessing is different from the CBS Sports channel. Who knows?

I'm not trying to rain on the parade, but I want to see SLU beat a quality team before I get too excited about this season. SLU barely beat Division III Wash U earlier this season, winning 5-4 on a run in the 9th. And Wash U had a mediocre season last year and are 2-5 to start this season although they have lost to some good teams. I would just temper my expectations for SLU a bit. They haven't really played any team of substance just yet.

I had to look it up as I was guessing Adegboye wasn't a great shooter. Before this game, a game he goes 6-of-8 from 3-point range, he was 1 for his last 16 from 3-point range. Perfect. When it rains, it pours.

Haha. You might be onto something. I was going to start looking around to see if there is some sort of baby racing circuit. There has to be, right? I think we only have a few weeks, though, before she starts walking. Time is precious.

HERSELF - that was my daughter. We had her on a strict training regime to get ready for the big race. She was focused. Lilly is clean!

Yeah, I was going to post something on Lisch but didn't. He can't even get off the bench at this point and Fontbonne is awful this season (3-9 and lost to rival Webster 75-42 last game).

I just put myself in his shoes. As a fan, I would like to see him redshirt. I think that obviously makes the most sense. But if I were him, I could see wanting to play right now. It has to be hard to sit and watch all this time. He has to be itching to play, especially with his teammates struggling.

Looks like Coach Hendrickson really has the ball moving in the right direction with the baseball program. The staff is really excited about this recruiting class and apparently Perfect Game will be ranking it a Top 100 class in the nation. There are few other guys yet to ink the NLI but they are said to be pretty good players as well. The team returns a solid pitching staff and 7 starters not to mention Becker and Parker who both sat out last year.
It is nice to see another good recruiting class following an A-10 title and tournament appearance. It would be really nice to see the AD and Admin step up with some better facilities to help ensure the long term success of the program. A nice little baseball stadium would look great nestled in between Hermann and the Fetz.
They do really need to upgrade their facilities. I play in a baseball league in the summer where SLU is one of our home fields. That field was the worst I have seen it this past season - really bad shape in the infield. And at night, they really need to do something about the lights from the Fetz - it is really tough on hitters to see (not sure if it is the same for the college season). Lastly, they always seem to have issues with the watering system there - it is soaked way too often. Hopefully, they start taking better care of that field because it has the potential to be a great field.

Here is my question, if Majerus benches Ellis because he isn't playing defense, what does he do with the rest of the inside players after last night? I didn't see any inside defense last night.

On another note, I was listenting to Frank and Martin at about 1015, they had seen the article and Willies Tweets/facebook posting but Im pretty sure they had not heard the Sr. Interview. They both said that they did not think SLU would allow him back and did not see it happening.
They also BOTH said SLU has "0 percent chance of winning Saturday"
Frank did not say he didn't think there was any chance he comes back. He said he thought it was in his best interest to come back because other schools aren't very interested in Willie, including K-State. It seems they haven't made any offer. Frank didn't think the chances were very good Willie returns, but I wouldn't say he was totally ruling it out. Martin did say he didn't see Willie coming back. And you are right - they both said we have ZERO chance winning Saturday.

I know Willie was already under the gun some for maybe some other issues, but how the heck can he be suspended after reading that report? What did he do exactly?

Just shoot an e-mail to the athletic department to find out which game will feature the baby race and when you can enter.
It doesn't hurt to include a pic of your little one wearing Billiken gear, as we did!

Channel 5 just had a story and said the suspensions were for the semester and they could come back if they wrote a letter of apology. They talked to Reed's dad and he wasn't happy with how it all went down.

Disagree. I was not impressed with UMass at all. I really was as disheartened over this loss as any all season. I just didn't think they were that good compared to other teams we have played so far this season. We played awful, awful, awful and are right in the game if we make any free throws. I still expect Xavier to get going before the season is out. They still have a lot of talent and can win with that alone in this conference - even if the coaching isn't up to par and the rest of the stiffs continue to struggle.
