Who is to say this a game Husak cannot compete in? It is 28-16 and we have double digit turnovers, whatever we have tried has not worked. Why not force them to match-up with us? It is worth a shot with our guards playing so loose. Look how things were going last night, we mixed it up and made the change and if we had not we would of lost. You gotta realize this is one and done, there is no tomorrow if you lose this one.

Click on USA A-L and then scroll down and go to CBC College Sports and click on the "392K" link.

Duke is in at an 8 or 9 seed. They are definitely not what I would call a bubble team. I have the ACC as an 8 bid conference.
-
We can only have rivalries with schools that offer Agriculture as a major apparently.

Why would I buy tickets when I am given tickets for free? I have never really looked into joining the Billiken Club or anything of that nature. What benefit would someone that lives 15 hours away receive from being a member of the Billiken Club?
-
I am not a Billiken Club member, matter fact I have never even paid for a ticket to a Billiken game. Does that make me less of a fan? I apologize that you took such offense to my comment about the extent of Tommie's relationship with Anthony Mitchell. Does Sam and Classic Mortgage know that you have over 16,000 posts on an internet message board?

Roy I am not sure what your deal is or why you are such a bitter man. Didn't quit posting on here a couple of weeks ago? The fact of the matter is that I know far more than you about this team and college basketball in general and honestly could care less how you respond to this. At the end of the day I am still young and successful and you are a middle-aged loan officer. I have tried to be nice to you and you continually take shots at me for no reason so if you want to dance, lets dance.

Lets have these kind of discussions some other time and enjoy the conference tournament. I don't think any of this changes my opinions on Brad and his staff as far as recruiting or lack their of, but now is not the time for such talk.
-
Is it kind of pathetic that I am making my afternoon project finding a bar to watch the Billiken game at? I think I could definitely get some people on board with the Billikens down here. By the time the game starts I will not be feeling any pain and will likely be in a great mood as my team is making a run in the conference tourney. I will be back in St. Louis on Sunday to celebrate with all of you. Rest assured there will be plenty of people in Houston learning what a Billiken is and about the Legends of Lisch, Liddell, Vouyoukas, Meyer, and Husak. I have already promised JJ and Bryce a night out once the season is over to thank them for making such huge plays last night.

I don't think I could be more happy with last nights game. The contributions we got from unlikely players was really special. Bryce Husak gets my player of the game for how he forced UMass to completely alter their game plan and kudos to the coaching staff for going with him to start the 2nd half. I said it would help if we could attack and get some of their bigs in foul trouble and Freeman was in foul trouble all evening. Liddell kept us in the game in the first half with his ability to take his man at will. Then you have Ian continuing his great play of late and really being a force once again. Bryce came in and did his best Dirk impression and played a great game; he did take a couple illadvised shots, but lets not nitpick here. Justin Justin, a kid I have bashed on here, hits the two biggest shots of his career and shots when he took them I was screaming in anger about until they went in. Kevin did not post impressive offensive numbers, but he was all over the court and a pest on the defensive end. Great win last night and all I can say is lets get two more. I have criticized Brad and these wins certainly do not change any of my opinions, but I am onboard and will not being saying anything too critical of him at this point. Lets get it done tonight and tomorrow. The similarities between this team and the Miracle in Memphis team are striking and I just hope we can turn a dissapointing season into something special these next couple of days. Unfortunately I am back in Houston and will have to follow this game on the internet and without any fellow Billiken fans.

I think it is also important that we are agressive attacking their big men and try to pick up some fouls on them. This is the type of team that I feel like we match-up well against. I can assure you that Sodie wrote something along the lines of "keep them off the glass" as one of his keys to the game.
-
I had never heard that and definitely did not pick-up on that. Is this a nickname from Rammer or the threat boyz?
-
I am so excited for the game tonight and for the next couple of weeks it is insane. Lets just hope that when we beat UMass none of our big three come down with a virus. Here's to Ian playing a few more in a Billiken uniform.

How is saying Tommie tea-bagged Anthony Mitchell back in the day spouting off about the East Side? If you knew how much money I contribute to the local economy of East St. Louis you would know I have nothing but love. There is a bouncer at rBar from East St. Louis who is one of the most likeable kids you will ever meet.

I like it briantstl, nice play.

The only question I would have for Cheryl Levick is if she would like to accompany me to my suite at the Sheraton.
I am glad she is defending the choice of the A-10 over the MVC though, I am getting so tired of hearing media types rant about how SLU should have joined the Valley and how bad the A-10 is.
-
I heard Tommie tea-bagged him in the locker room after they beat Belleville West back in 2004.
-
Pistol, looks like the credit department will have a tough next couple of weeks with you in college basketball tournament mode.
-
Good post, but I think it is clear that the MVC is a better basketball conference this year as well. It won't show in the tournament bids, but common sense will tell you they are.
-
Does anyone else find it crazy that 9 of the 12 teams in the ACC have a legitimate shot at making the tournament. I think Clemson probably did themselves in with a loss today, but it is still amazing how strong that conference is top to bottom. But don't worry, the major conference from the Missouri Valley will be getting a whopping 2 teams into the tournament which is how it should be.
-
I was told after the game that Tommie was sick and that he went straight to bed when the team got to the hotel. Here's to hoping we can have a healthy Tommie, Kevin, and Ian the next couple of days.
-
Yeah, I just saw he played with Gateway and I am so used to seeing the top kids in the area associated with the Eagles that it took me by surprise and was just curious if there was any reason for the decision.
So you obviously would know much more about Femi John than me and I will take your thoughts over mine which were based on only two games. I would think that tryouts are only a week or two away. Will you be making the trip to Vegas this summer "to watch your son play"?
-
Next time I see you I will be sure to introduce myself. I am not trying to hide my identity. What is the deal for the conference tourney as far as tv and what not? If the times work out maybe we could all get together at a bar to watch the Bills. The atmosphere before and during the UNC game was great even afterwards hearing Pistol chew out the Poplar Bluff natives was entertaining.

I am in the same boat as you. I did not hear what he said or see what he wrote, but I question how anyone could call out an individual for donating $12 million to their alma mater. Dr. Chaifetz should receive nothing but praise for sticking to a promise he made when he was given the chance to attend Saint Louis University. Bernie needs to get over himself, I am guessing at some point Bernie was cut off at the buffet line at Savvis Center and since has nothing but anger towards the program.

Maybe Sodie and Grunk who had the scout are mentally worn out from the unbelievable amount of oral sex they have recieved over the past three days from dbo Bertucci.
