  1. Do people on the board really believe we will get a more qualified coach than Rick Majerus? If so, your nuts. The fact that he is being job status is being questioned is embarrassing. We knew when he was hired that it would take time to implement his system, probably more so than any coach in the country. He may not be easy to work with but neither is Knight, Lombardi, Belacheck, Rockne, etc. The media and whiners need to suck it up and let the man work.

  2. I see that not one person mentioned Chris Braun on your all decade team. We must remember the bigs of the Braun/Baniak era played against much tougher, bigger, and more skilled competition than the current guys (REED).

    I go with:

    Perry

    Love

    Jeffers

    Braun

    Heinrich

Bench: Fisher, Liddell, Lisch, Reed, Sloan, Bryant, Voyouskas

  3. I have a great source that tells me that DePaul's Athletic Director is planning on swapping Head Men's Basketball Coach Jerry Wainwright with Women's Basketball Coach Doug Bruno. DePaul doesn't have the money to buy out Wainwright so they see this as the best alternative. Bruno has had an excellent career at the helm of the women's program and has experience working with men while at Loyola Univ. in Chicago. He also played for DePaul under Ray Meyer. Hopefully that takes Rick out of the equation for their job.

  4. What bothers me more than last nights' loss is the stupidity of many Bill fans on this board. We have one of the great coaches in college basketball. No one in the country will dispute that. His record speaks for itself. Truth be told, our former coaches resumes couldn't hold a candle to RM's. Yet, so many fans (many of which probably have never played a game of competive basketball) are questioning him and his coaching. It is ok to have an opinion, but think before you write.

  5. Sources are telling me that RM has spoken with Brad about returning as an assistant. Since he is looking at former Head Coaches, this would make sense. I do not believe a scenario like that has ever happened. Can anyone remember? Frank should contact Brad to get to the bottom of this. I do think Brad wants to stay in the STL area so his son can finish HS here. Also, he just built a huge house out in St. Charles. What a interesting coaching search this has become!

  6. Just been laying in the weeds the last month, but Ole' Brad outcoaches another young up and coming coach. All you Brad haters out there should have tuned in tonight to see a coaching masterpiece. This reminds me of the Duke fans early in Coach K's tenure in Durham. It took him a few years to get it going there too. Sodie's 20 wins will be the norm in the future!!!!!

  7. How can anyone say that our hoops program is anywhere close to where it was "pre-Cheyrl?" We were in a much tougher conference and were competing toe to toe with Marq, Depaul, Louisville, Cincy, and Charlotte. We had expectations to win our fair share against those teams. When Spoon was here, and somewhat with Romar, it was expected to beat those teams at home. Why does the upset of #2 Louisville seem so long ago? Why does beating Illinois in the TWA Dome and playing toe to toe with Mizzou 3 years straight seem so far gone.

Men's Soccer-- 4 NCAA's in 6 years??? Warming wasn't satisfied with those numbers. SLU had a realistic shot at the Final 4 every year when he was here. Seldom is SLU referred to as a college soccer power as it was "pre-Cheyrl."

I firmly belleve Cheyrl is not the right person to lead our athletics department. She is unable to retain staff and is not easy to work for. Many of the staff that she has lost have gone on to other more prestigious athletic departments. As an outsider, I would assume she is not a good leader. Most importantly, her teams are not getting results.

  8. I notice that she has run alot people in her department out of St. Louis. By all accounts she is hard to work for. I have been told by people who have worked for her that she is a micro manager. Since she has arrived at SLU mens hoops, womens hoops and soccer have all gone in the tank. I think she has to be held accountable.

  9. Although Ian is one of the better big men in the league this season, lets not get carried away. I feel some of our past big men would be dominant in the A-10 had we played in it. Chris Braun, for example, would be a All-League performer in the A-10. Justin Tatum would be a POY level performer in the mid-major A-10.
