  1. I hear around the Athletic Departments its Pete Gillen. Make sense great recruiter and is from the east coast. He can get players, screw the x and o of the game. He will get better talent than the Dwanye Polks and Danny Browns. Who cares if sucked at Virginia, he can RECRUIT and thats what its all about.

  2. I am just saying when a big 10 school, big east or SEC comes calling she will take one. Better programs, more money better facilities etc.. that is the life of coaching, hopefully I am wrong but if she gets this team to the NCaa Tourney this year, I wouldn't be suprise to see Michigan go after her since Burnett is on the hot seat and this is thelast year of her contract.

  3. Vtime, come up to MOBAPS open gym, Johnny Parker, Marcus Allen, Justin Tatum, JOn Oden are up there all the time with other Mobap players even some local like Randy Holbrook(Kirkwood) That open gym is probably the best around, so come up next summer b/c that is the spot to be, the Oppland twins showed up one day, but only lasted one game, they got embarrassed, Tate DecKer even shows up once in awhile.

  4. From my understanding talking to their coaches was that Lisch was a good ball player but wasn't quick enough, or a pure shooter to play in the Big East, but you know that is the hard part about recruiting you make those assumptions and sometimes their not correct, I cant blam ND for that b/c he probably wasn't but after watching him play last year he probably would have been fine. Brad probably thought the same for Darren Clarke

  5. Vtime, my uncle is the assistant coach, do you know anybody at Tulsa or Nebraska? No, you are WRONG! He did not get offered, just like Johnny Cooper didn;t graduate from MOBAP, go ask Tony Tomkpins the coach and he will tell you he kicked off the team and he never graduated.

  6. Trust me on this Vtime, I know for a fact Cody did not get offered by Tulsa, hell my uncle is an assistant coach. Jim Donnelly can say what he wants, but I know for a fact, and it I don't think Cody was strong enough or quick enough to play D-1, just like Husak.

  7. Hate to break it to you Justin, Cody got some letters from D1 schools but was never offered, Tulsa showed the most interest but never pulled the trigger, my uncle Dave Cason is an assistant coach at Tulsa and he said they never offered Cody, He was a good kid and that is all he told me.

  8. Crosby Accepts Position at Virginia

Associate director of athletics Devin Crosby takes on new role at University of Virginia.

    July 27, 2006

ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis University director of athletics Cheryl L. Levick today announced that associate director of athletics for external operations Devin Crosby has been named the assistant director of athletics for marketing and promotions at the University of Virginia. Crosby will conclude his duties at SLU on Aug. 11.

"Devin was presented with a great professional opportunity," Levick said. "By going to Virginia, he has a chance to be closer to family in that area while also expanding his career opportunities. I thank him for his management of our external services for all our sports and for his creative promotional strategies."

Crosby joined the Billikens last year after a three-year tenure as the assistant director of athletics for marketing and promotions at the University of Houston. At SLU, Crosby was responsible for implementing the strategic plan for Billiken marketing and promotions, which included ticket operations, group sales, corporate marketing and sales, game management, community outreach and student spirit groups. Crosby and his staff helped the department exceed its revenue goals for men's basketball and generate the A-10's third-highest men's basketball average attendance.

"Saint Louis University is a remarkable institution, and I enjoyed working with the Billiken supporters and every member of the department of athletics and the campus community," Crosby said. "My wife, Cynthia, and I will always have fond memories of our experiences here."

I guess Volfan was right, but how come there has not been a press release about Mark Spencer going to Oregon State. I wouldn't want to be working that Dept, I bet CL is pissed off big time, but it makes you wonder why Devin left, when he was just hired last September. Who knows

  9. The black guy(Devon) is leaving for Virgina, he was here less than a year. you cant blame Spencer for leaving, who cares if he got promoted, CL would not think twice to get rid of him if it came down to it. We are seing CL true Colors now, everybody is leaving
