  1. At one point in the game, I wondered why IV wasn't played? We sure weren't establishing the post w/ IO. As bad as we were playing, it would have been nice to see IV try and mix it up down there to get a better feel for how fast Div. 1 ball can be and to hone his skills a bit. It couldn't have hurt.

  2. I was thinking about that last night when I left the game. It will be interesting to see the effects of Brad's personality/ coaching strengths on the team and how they come out playing against Houston. You know he had to feel more than just upset about that lost. Maybe even a little embarassed.

  3. I mean, Marquette certainly deserves to receive all the attention in the world, given the last year's run and for elevating the stature of their basketball program compared to years past. However, stop writing editorials on a national webpage specified for those teams who still have a legitimate tourney shot. To me, it would seem obvious to include a team like SLU whose PROVEN to this pt. in the season to be taken before a team like Marquette. Give credit where credit is due and leave the marketing/editorial aspect out of it if you're gonna be unfair.

  4. Of course, this have gotta be about money. Is anyone aware what the avg. yearly comparative league revenues are for football vs. basketball in any given conference? For example, how much more $ would the heavier fooball CUSA take in vs. a heavier basketball A-10?

  5. Glad that you posted! Welcome. The crowd was incredible. It was the same type of energy we had at the Arizona game earlier this year, except a lil' better. Crowd was on its feet and really believed that it helped our players. Drejaj kept encouraging everyone to get up and they responded. Lots of fun. Guessing that crowd was about 10,500. Look for more when Louisville shows up.

  6. Screw MU or Illini. Fans especially have an obligation to put heat on the coach, the program, other naysayers, and especially other fans to EXPECT SLU to have a top notch program. These things run in cycles and fans have set their expectations high every year from now on. I'm sure Duke didn't kick ass every year since their inception. Forgive me for bringing this up but SLU was considered a national champ one year MANY years ago when NIT was the prized tourney. Now's the time to start putting some heat out there on the coach. I think Soderberg would welcome that type of response other than what's been going on since Highmark, Claggett, and Waldman left. If you remember, their was talk about the program reaching that top notch leve. Hell, even Spoonhour had a freakin' restaurant that the whole city was eating at. Spoonball, remember that. I want a freagin' Soderberg restaurant to eat at and should expect one next year! I'll take that or a 30 min. post-game show only Channel 5 that's treated w/ some enthusiam.
