Put that guy on the box of Wheeties. He's on a terror!

How so? They had an RPI ranking less than 10 didn't they? Is that not hard to believe?

I'm with Roy. First signs of an upgrade and pull that athletic scholarship. It appears that we've upgraded our recruiting capabilities (i.e. RM and assist. coaches). Let's push the envelope to see what we can get.

I don't know. Roy, I'm with you on this. Timmerman draws on such an extreme comparison. There just seems to be such an overly astounding reaction to the actual successes SLU has the ability to achieve year in and year out. I get sick of that reaction as well. Jesus, it's not like our program is Duquesne or Cal-State Northridge.

I live in LA and was surprised while working out in the gym as they had the game on NESN (New England Sports Network). It seemed to be a Boston channel akin to Fox Sports Midwest. In any case, one of the announcers was a former D1 coach. Some of his remarks:
1. He's coached many big men who played in NBA and is highly impressed w/ Zeus. Sayed he, more or less, will play there as well.
2. SLU has the best chance to upset George Washington in the tourney of all A-10 teams.
Both announcers sang many SLU praises throughout the game. They did a nice bit on Soderberg during half-time, showed new arena, etc..I'm assuming I was able to get coverage out here b/c of A-10 coverage. Nice too see a New England/A-10 game on the west coast.

W/ all the different RPI ranking systems, which is the one that the NCAA committee uses? That's the only one I care about.

I agree. I don't post much but there many of us that like to read and not write. Mizzou talk should go to the other board.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I want to become a national player. I believe you have to expose your players to that setting occasionally. That is why we played at Arizona, Gonzaga, Iowa, that is why we are going to Ole Miss and North Carolina." -- Coach Brad Soderberg.

Let's hope when Soderberg calls on Tommie to take more shots in the future he won't shun the opportunity.
