When was the last time that SLU signed players who were recognized nationally like Lisch and Liddell? Certainly not since Hughes. What this Coach has accomplished in such a short time is really something.

Per my son (2003 ND Grad), ND is providing a ticket & bus service for any student who wants to attend the game in Ft. Wayne. The cost is under $10/person. As of yesterday, the game was close to a sellout. Would have been great to play in StL or close to Stl. My guess is that the Coach will have them ready to play......

Mizzou may have requested that they be on the other side of the bracket from SLU, but it didn't happen.

Love to see us play a team like Notre Dame or someone from the Big 10. Love to see Mizzou play SW Mo St in Springfield.

While it 'feels good' to be highly ranked by the 'experts', i'll bet on our coach & his ability to put our team in a position to win games that others say we'll lose. I'm OK with a mid-conference ranking at this point. We'll end up better than that in the end.

Seems that coach generally starts the guys who do the best job of defending. My guess is that the 5 guys who show the most progress in that area will start.

Thanks for the update. When discussing DePaul & Marquette, did DW seem resigned to the notion that they were headed to the Big East? We know change is coming, but I would prefer to be in a conference with schools that are historical rivals such as Marquette and DePaul.

We can all agree or disagree with Nate's points. I do agree with Nate's comments, particularly as they relate to broy. Whether we think that what is posted should or shouldn't have any impact is not relevant. If Nate, who has access to information that we don't, says it does, then we should listen. That doesn't mean that people can't post what they want, of course they can. So can Nate. For those of you that feel the need to respond & defend your posts, I would ask you the following...... Why would anyone ever make a comment about a young person that could be seen as negative. These are 17 / 18 year olds who are trying to make decisions that will have a significant impact on their future.
