JCs two COY awards came with a pre fab team where he could step back and just watch. Make sure travel plans went smoothly and the uniforms were washed. This year required a totally different mind set, ie be a real coach. After watching just about every game this season, it looks like he forgot how to coach. They say, the best thing about FR is they become SOPHs, but if they're still not buying whatever it is your selling, you'll likely end up with the same old same old.
That is an overly harsh assessment of the last two seasons.

In the 20 years I have read this board you are without a doubt the biggest loser troll I have ever seen. You're a bitter person and you can't get over what happened to you. Time to move on.

If that is how you feel, it's all the more reason to get rid of Crews now. After all, the Billikens just came off of three consecutive NCAA tournament seasons that were three of the best, if not THE best seasons in the modern Billiken era. It should have been prime time to score big in recruiting.
My personal opinion is that the current Billiken talent is fairly decent; they just have a coach that is mediocre, at best, which is reflected in his 30 year record. If he remembered anything that the great Bobby Knight taught him about self respect,, he would have already resigned. Justin Tatum won't attend a Jim Crews coached Saint Louis University.
Since many of the players read these posts, and value the wisdom of us sages, here is my advice: When the season ends, circulate a petition to be signed by the entire team, that calls for Coach Crews termination. Then, gather as a team, and deliver the petition to the AD. Good Luck!

Wow..will you be here all night? Glad we are in third grade. Why do you all defend crews endlessly what photos does he have of you? seriously? HE IS ONE OF THE WORST COACHES IN AMERICA AND DESTROYED A PROGRAM. Isn't it obvious?
You need closure, but you won't find it here. Maybe you should just talk to Crews and address your issues. You know what I am talking about.

Forget senior night. You won't be seeing any of the Freshman with talent anymore either. Say goodbye to Bartley Yarbrough and Roby. Maybe more.
Remember Crews got fired at Army for over disciplining players. And he can't even coach on top of it. He thinks he is Bob Knight, his idol.
Problem is couldn't even hold Knight's Jock....
And you couldn't even wear it seeing as you would have to have something to fill it.

Well said. I've done my fair share of grumbling too. But it will take much more than a disastrous season to stop me from loving my Billikens. Bills fan for life.

Congrats. Good win in an ugly game. For some reason, this has become an interesting rivalry. That said, if an asteroid hits the Earth, I hope you can understand that I hope it hits Olean. Have a nice winter this spring.

Sure Alumni ----- if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. Same goes for the facts. Essentially both guys had nondescript careers. They won in spite of themselves because their collective teams were much better and defined the term "got carried." But SLU has had a lot of those guys ----Troy Robertson included.
So Taj, let's make OURSELVES feel better by just beating the living out of people verbally. Yep, that works, especially on a national broadcast. You are frustrated, I get that, and you are a great fan, but your frustration is skewing your perspective. Let's face it, about 0.000001% of the world population cares, yet some of us are melting down over a bunch of primarily teenagers playing netball. Perspective, my friend.

I think you actually just agreed with me. Slu72, who is a great fan, was talking about the two COY seasons harshly. Your assessment and mine on those two seasons are essentially the same.
