  1. Pops is essentially a 4. GW only has 1 5, and that Kireev.

Technically when Mike Hall and Pops are on the floor, Mike Hall is the 4, and Pops is the 5. However, he is basically what we dream Justin Johnson of being with maybe more post game.

I cannot wait to Ian v. Pops. Basically Towering Classic Big Man v. Agile, quick, Sir Dunks a lot.

I don't think I have ever looked forward to a match up so much in my life.

  2. I have no hard evidence of negativity about Billikens.com from the Levick Administration. I honestly haven't even met Cheryl yet. Admitedly, the early relations of Billikens.com and SLU were not fantastic, but some of that is my fault. The maturity and rational of a 13-15 year old when dealing with a professional athletic department may of not been the best. From the Woolard Administration, I heard more negatives than positives. However, I had a very good relationship with John Garrison. Doug Woolard was always extremely pleasant to me as well. I was sort of sad to see the two of them go.

However, overall, I can understand why the Athletic Director does not want to thank an association that is not affiliated with the University. And she probably shouldn't. Thank the Blue Crew and Billiken Club. I was happy that Billikens.com could help, but wasn't really expecting any recognition from the University.

Basically this site is something that I am 95% sure that the Athletic Department checks daily, but they rarely acknowledge its presence. I would like to remind the AD if reading, Mike Alden at Mizzou has posted on Tigerboard, and I am more than willing to work something out with SLU.

  3. their better players. i.e. Pops comes in off the bench a lot (almost as soon as possible).

Pops is what we all dream JJ would be and more.

Mike Hall is that Power Forward we are always looking for.

Omar is my favorite, a big guy that can shoot.

    JR definitely has NBA Potential.

Carl Elliot reminds a lot of Jeffers (minus the D).

If you ask my friends, I am a GW Pessimist (I argue with people after every game, win or lose). But this year, if GW is not dancing, I am very dissapointed.

Cue Billiken Law Steve Bashing for not going to SLU

  4. OK all of you "Billiken fans" - open those wallets and do it NOW! I'm in for $25.00. Everyone who reads or posts on this board needs to support the BLUECREW on this. They have made a heck of a commitment to Brad and the players and need to be able to deliver or we run the risk of never having an event like this again. All those who attend Tip Off Club meetings should be opening your wallets!

For those who haven't seen anything advertising this event, make sure that Alumni Relations has your email address. I got an email notifying me of the festivities.[/i]

[email protected] sent it to me through Billikens.com. Did others get it?

  5. :)

Thanks for the Blessing. I am glad Billikens.com has been able to help you reach out for donations.

I wish I could be there. Definitely to hear the Billikens.com plug and to see what the AD does when it is said...I always wonder what they think of Billikens.com (they never give me a straight answer). Don't worry about the plug if it will cause "Office Politics" problems.

  6. Spirit is growing. The Colonial Army (our Blew Crew) ran out of spots on the first day it could (they staggered sales of this year's membership by old members then they sold to new members). They would sell more, but we are out of Student Section seats.

Basically GW is a good team, and fun to watch (not saying the Billikens aren't, but let's say a 100 points for a GW team is not flabbergasting). I wouldn't call our spirit GREAT because when I first got here, the stands were pretty empty. Winning Creates Spirit. It sucks to root for a loser, so the fair-weather fan doesn't.

    Steve
