Fredo
The lady bills have a new asst coach a former lady bill but that makes this 2 new asst coaches in the last 5 months for the lady bills. Pizzotti sure has a lot of turn over in staff wonder why do the coaches that leave go to better programs or what? Maybe they can have another winning record this year, that would be great to show progress. the bar was set last year making the WNIt. SO winning is a must do this year, if they dont win what is the excuse? Any thoughts
Newberry
I noticed that too, Pizzotti does have a lot of turn over in her staff. 2 new coaches in 5 months I think the year before she had 2 new coaches too... You are right teh bar has been set from last year WNIT bid so if they lose this year what will be the problem I know they have young team but good coaches find a way to win even if the team is young. Pizzotti only has 2 winning seasons in 9 yrs so I say they have a bettter chance to ose than win just my opininon

tseugnekillib
Fredo, it seems you only post with negative comments about Coach Pizzotti. Did Coach Pizzotti cut you as a walk-on or something? Speaking of the Lady Bills, I believe they will benefit most by the new on-campus arena. As least the men get to play their games at the Savvis, while the Jillikens are stuck in West Pine. I also noted that Jana Haywood will not return for her fifth year this season. Jana was Coach Pizzotti's second leading scorer last season; however, she completed her Accounting degree in May and has elected to start her professional career immediately, rather than play her final year of eligibility. As similar thing happened a year ago when Christine Shelton passed on her fifth year and instead entered Law school. You hate to lose talented fifth year seniors, but both Haywood and Shelton maximized the educational opportunities and got on with their lifes! TheA_Bomb
http://slubillikens.ocsn.com/sports/w-bask.../092303aaa.html I like this assistant coach pick. Mandy was working as a teacher and Women's Basketball Coach at a high school in Indiana and her boyfriend (at the time not sure if that is who she married) was a coach at a high school in Louisville. She may have good connections to that indiana basketball pipeline. Also she is a very nice person. I sat next to her at the CUSA tourney in Cincy and we had some quality play by play analysis. My wife knows her more than I do but I appreciated her insight into the program. I agree with tsuegnekillib that the women's team will benefit with the new arena. I do see Fredo's point that is Pizotti reverts and doesn't show any consistency we should can her.
