billiken_roy
per chris monter: "6-4 guard Draelon Burns of Milwaukee (WI) Custer is hearing from Iowa State, DePaul, Creighton, St. Louis and UW-Milwaukee. Burns played in the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis in July and with the Milwaukee Runnin' Rebels this summer. He averaged 17.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.4 steals per game as a junior. Draelon Burns is an excellent shooter who has the ability to score against anyone. He understands the game and is an under-rated passer. Burns is physically very strong with good range on his jump shot. He still needs to improve intensity, defense and foot speed. Burns led Custer to a 21-3 finish last season, losing to Appelton West in the Division I state quarterfinals in their first ever state tournament appearance. The Cougars return four starters and their top two reserves. Two teammates and fellow starters, 6-1 Tyson Kingsby, who averaged 7.0 points and 6-9 Anthony Griffin, who averaged 4.5 points, both played on the Milwaukee Runnin' Rebels and 3.6 rebounds. Reserves, 6-2 Carl Sims, who added 4.3 points and 3.4 rebounds and 6-3 Curt Allen, who averaged 5.5 points and 2.4 rebounds, were also on the same AAU team. The returning talent and summer experiences should make Custer one of the favorites to win the 2004 state title."
3star_recruit
This kid has been listed as one of the top 5 players in Wisconsin's 2004 class for 2 years now, Wisconsin's deepest class in many years. I've read on Badgerboard and elsewhere that there may be grade issues.
