kwyjibo
http://www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/6438747 A long and pretty sensible overview of the craziness that is ACC expansion. I think they will eventually come to their senses and not go to 13 (but I don't get a vote). The only good thing about the ACC going to 13 is that then the football Big East might join with football C-USA. I would absolutely LOVE the Basketball Big East then: Dayton, DePaul, Marquette, Notre Dame, Saint Louis and Xavier in the West and Georgetown, Massachusetts, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall and Villanova While this has been mentioned before and I think it is a longshot (if that), it would be wonderful for east coast Bills fans. Sign Guy can go to Georgetown games.
jjray
Thanks for sharing the link kwyjibo, one of the more reasoned analyses I have seen of the situation.
cheeseman
Agreed. Wetzel did a nice job of covering all the bases. His read on the Big East forming 2 bb conferences is a win win for everybody. The only team he did not talk about was UNC from CUSA. They really do seem to be the odd man out. The good thing about the west and east conferences in the Big East is that for the minor sports, you could play all your games close to home - save money - then meet the others in a end of the year tournament. You could also add a couple of games with the other side just to spice it up. The concept makes great sense.
ACE
It makes too much sense, which is why it probably won't happen. Charlotte gets screwed in that scenario, but I'd love it for us.
