As far as fandom etc...SLU fans could learn a thing or two from IU's fans, and also their success over recent past history. I have no problem with fun jabs at schools. But if you don't have a healthy respect for IU soccer... And it doesn't have anything to do with game rowdiness etc...it is one thing to be rowdy, clever, poke fun...etc...but in conversation, IU is what SLU aspires to be right now....more consistent and a notch above. As for MLS....sure ideally anywhere near downtown would be wonderful and a first choice.......and while I am not a big fan of it being across the river....as long as it is across the river as in very close to downtown, and not say 30 minutes out...I have no problem with it....people need to get over the IL v MO thing...and welcome the area as in a Philly/S Jersey....are a part of Philly as example.....the near East side needs something positive to expand the downtown area attractions beyond gambling boats and strip clubs.
