The only reason it’s this close is unforced errors by SLU and the refs have decided to call a foul every time SEMO gets breathed on too hard in the 2nd half

Defense has been noticeably better than last year. Rebounding too. Given up 58 points and probably 15 of them have come from the stripe

Up by 24 and going to score over 90 and I would say they haven’t looked great.

 

Clean things up and this team will be incredible.

Sloppy first game, but a lot of positives as well. McCottry is going to be a force this year, Kellen looked healthy and aggressive, and we’ve got a ton of shooters.

Was super excited about Otieno, but I hope he’s not foul prone.

My guess is he saw little opportunities for minutes. May have pulled a Larry Jr? Total guess on my part. I really know nothing. I liked him but you can see we have a lot more talent this year.

Robbie Avila & Deon Brown had Double Doubles.  Amari McCottry channeled his inner Larry Hughes, Sr., getting to the rim with 16 points.  He needs to stay out of foul trouble, but is quite a player.
