Alithos Anesti (from another Greek!)

It just crossed my mind that If you are ever visiting DC you might enjoy visiting Dumbarton Oaks. This is a large property owned by Harvard in Georgetown. It has fabulous formal English and French gardens and the mansion at the property houses Harvard's Byzantine and Pre-Colombian studies center. The house is a palace and contains a small museum with Byzantine antiquities and Pre-Colombian antiquities. A nice place to look at mosaics with Greek inscriptions and try to figure out what they say. There is no charge for visiting this place. It is a well hidden gem in  DC, something tourists do not know is there. It is well worth your time, it is beautiful and the price is right.

Ahhh yes the guy who has chastised prayer and posters here praying on multiple occasions is here to wish you all a happy easter.

Believing in God and in Christianity does not mean believing in prayer. In case you have not noticed with your sharp journalistic perception, family style Christian churches are bursting with people and springing up everywhere. The US Catholic Church is closing parishes and schools everywhere. The Catholic Church is shrinking by leaps and bounds, at least in the US they are. The US Catholic Church has been importing priests from India and other places because we have a lack of native priests. Is this news to you?

And by the way, you have no title of ownership or any right, to dictate how a person chooses to believe in God or be a Christian. Are you going to tell me next that I am condemning my eternal soul to rot in hell for eternity? If that is the case I appreciate your concern, and understand your "devotion" but I prefer to do things my own way.

It most certainly does.

I never thought I would have to say this, but don't make me lock the Easter thread.
