I absolutely cannot wait to watch JGood tonight. Hoping for a few possessions of him guarding Anthony Edwards to see him really get after it defensively. Never imagined I'd be rooting for the Lakers, though...

I just searched what his salary was.  Base salary of 223k for the 24-25 season.

i think that’s the equivalent of a restaurant manager in LA.

can that really be correct? 
 

if it is, I’m seriously outraged.

NBA teams typically tighten their rotation in the playoffs. Let’s see what the Lakers do.

Yea saw the same.  Signing the contract seems sort of meaningless if it’s a “team option” and lakers just move on after year one and he gets his guaranteed 223k.  I admit I am no expert but maybe torch or someone can confirm or deny what seems to be a ridiculously low salary for being a rotation player on the lakers.

If he had eligibility left he could get more playing for the Billikens.

Let's keep in perspective Jordan has only played in 29 games and the great majority of those were before he signed the regular contract.   Before that he was still playing with the limited 2 way g League contract.   So the $223K amount guaranteed is a prorated amount of the $1.2m salary for a full year.  Don't forget he will get a playoff bonus as well, so young Mr Goodwin is gonna be able to buy milk and eggs for the near future.   

As t this point i'm more about Goodwin qualifying for the NBA pension.   If he continues to play well, he we will get paid

The $223k is what he’s made since his contract was converted to a full time deal on March 27th. Not bad for about 3 weeks of work.

Plus in LA a 223k salary will get you a sweet 650 square foot apartment with a sweet Murphy bed and an awesome kitchen/bathroom combo.

It really does not matter how much money he makes. The pension is important but as long as he is playing with a regular contract the salary will increase. I am very glad to see him where he is currently and believe he has finally achieved his dream. Happy Easter to you and your family Jordan Goodwin.

Jordan made $578,577 under his 2 way contract.  A 2 way player makes half the rookie minimum salary.

Since signing his regular contract he pulled in the 223k.

As far as playoff earnings.

Making the first round teams divvy up 466,000, so Goodwin would get about 30k for the first round.  The Lakers also receive a 456,000 for having the 3rd best record in conference, so another 30k roughly for Goodwin just for being on an NBA roster in the playoffs.  That money will go up if the Lakers advance.  If the Lakers won the title Goodwin's playoff share would be roughly 1 million dollars total for the playoffs.

Lakers weren't ready for the Wolves. They got pushed around and looked a step slow. Pretty much went with 7+ rotation. Goodwin only played 6 min.

100% Taj is stuck in 1977. Goodwin is a GREAT SLU story.

Didn’t watch the whole game last night, but one defensive possession  Goodwin tied up Edwards going to the hoop for a held ball, then Edwards tipped the resulting jump ball out of bounds for Laker possession. Good to see Jordan has kept that fire. Redick seems to appreciate it.

Goodwin’s season ended last night with the Lakers’ first round exit against MN. He was a DNP in Game 5 as Redick seemed to have hit the panic button and shortened the rotation. Lakers were ultimately exposed for not having a center. 
 

They have until the end of June to pick up Goodwin’s $2.35M option for next season.

Haha, incredibly underwhelming. Pretty bad job of game management by JJ Reddick, not just in not playing Jordan, but not playing any subs at all in the second half of Game 4 as well as letting Rudy Gobert dominate in Game 5. A lot of changes need to be made for that team going forward especially on the defensive side of the ball. Thankfully that is the area Jordan excels at.
