BLIKNS Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Well the A-10 went 3-1 yesterday Daytin, George Mason and Loyola advance Quote
billikenbill Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Fordham fires Urgo. Not related to that, but apparently Fordham has decided to pump some major money into the program. Speculation is they’ll be in the Top 5 in the A-10 as far as availability of funds goes. Quote

juniorbill76 Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Dayton and Mason both lose in the second round. LUC playing Sunday. I looked so you don’t have to. BLIKNS 1 Quote
Bay Area Billiken Posted March 23 Posted March 23 No less than 3 NIT games will be played today/tonight in the Bay Area, to wit: Loyola Chicago at USF; UAB at Santa Clara; Kent State at Stanford. Former Billikens are involved: Brad Ezewiro at UAB, Cian Medley at Kent State. Quote

Bay Area Billiken Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Loyola is the only A10 team left in the NIT, hosts Kent State in Wednesday’s Quarterfinals. The NIT Elite 8 conference breakdown is: American Athletic 2, and 1 each for the Big 12, Atlantic 10, Missouri Valley, Big West, Southern (SoCon), and Mid American (MAC). almaman 1 Quote
Bay Area Billiken Posted March 27 Posted March 27 NIT Final 4 matchups: North Texas (American Athletic) vs. UC Irvine (Big West); Chattanooga (Southern) vs. Loyola Chicago (Atlantic 10). WUH 1 Quote
TaLBErt Posted March 27 Posted March 27 What I wouldn't give to have Loyola's tournament success. MusicCityBilliken 1 Quote
Bay Area Billiken Posted April 2 Posted April 2 The NIT Championship matchup is UC Irvine (Big West), one of the 4 #1 Seeds vs. unseeded Chattanooga (SoCon). Although the Anteaters are a #1 Seed, one doubts many had this matchup on their bingo cards. As they say in the OC, Let’s go Eaters. Quote

At least that way we can say that the Billikens were knocked out of the tournament by the eventual NIT champion. Quote

Let’s go Eaters. The NIT is the de facto D1-AA Tourney, had 6 A10 teams in its 32 team field. One doubts Chattanooga would have advanced past #1 seed Dayton had Dayton not waived its home game there. That game was played at unseeded Chattanooga. Quote

Shows you how quickly I tried to put our NIT disaster out of my mind. Quote
MusicCityBilliken Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Love Honor Huff of the Mocs. The little water bug is deadly behind the arc and is quick as lightning. If he enters the portal, he'd be a nice pickup to replace Swope. Huff tx to the Mocs from VMI. Quote

The Crown is the also ran D1-A Tourney of the vanquished, with a few exceptions. Quote
