As was the story with most of our conference losses, an inept Robbie Avila who failed to make free throws and get key rebounds was a key contributor to the loss.

The last time seeing Gibson Jimerson leave the court in a Billiken uniform is sad to see.

Pretty sure I saw Loyola players clutching and grabbing him on his way to the locker room. Games over guys you  can stop holding him.

He’s a great player, but he’s just too out of shape (not to mention clumsy), which leads to so many sloppy turnovers, inability to defend, and a drop in FT% of 10% from last season.  He’s always sucking wind- impossible to be consistent when that’s the case.

The Billikens are guilty of this too so il not so I’m not saying this is why they lost but the NCAA needs to clean up the off ball-holding and illegal screens it’s getting out of hand

Sat near midcourt, dear god Valentine is a whiner. He was chirping with the Swope contingent as the clock ran down. Hate to see another Brian Gregory/Danny Hurley join the league.

I thought he made an ass of himself at the game at Chaifetz.

Had some fun moments this year. Gonna miss Swope and Jemerson.

Not the year we were hoping for,  but definitely progress. The Portal will be exciting/interesting. I think Coach can talk some good players into coming here, provided we have the cash. I would think that a lot of people would be interested in playing with Robbie, given how generous he is, sharing the ball.

Kellen has been practicing this entire time, without cramps, but the coaches still wanted to shut him down for the year. Will he be back at SLU? Will Robbie? 🤔

I wouldn't be upset at all if Avila goes elsewhere.

What a disappointment he turned out to be.

Wasn’t nearly disappointing enough to make a statement like this

Once Avila’s ankle healed up I thought he met expectations. I’m more disappointed in Schertz in general. I expected much more out of the offense. There were also multiple times we got waxed in the second half. Next year is a total mystery. Hope Chaifetz opens up the wallet.

Idk.  He’s the most frustrating Billiken I’ve watched.  The Jekyll and Hyde act is tough.  I don’t really think it’s that crazy of a statement

Agree. He was an asset. Hope he returns.

Have to believe there is another issue with Thames besides just cramps.

To me, it was more indicative of a light bench. Guys playing big minutes who should’ve red-shirted, Kellen getting hurt/sick, injuries to Casey and Dotzler. All of this led to a 6-7 main rotation, and lots of dead legs in second halves.

I do wish Pikaar had gotten more minutes. Was pleasantly surprised by the growth McCottry showed.

When you look at Robbie's entire package, his departure would be devastating.  He is 2nd in scoring average, 2nd in rebound average, 2nd in assists, 2nd in blocks, 2nd in steals, and 3rd in three's made.  Taken as a whole, he had one of the best overall seasons this century.

Where you going to find someone to replace all of that?  Cooper Flagg isn't transferring to SLU.

Stats sometimes lie.  This statement is absolutely crazy.  How many turnovers/game?

Bold statement from someone who doesn't watch the game but only looks at box scores.

Here is your answer.  He lead the team in turnovers and he had an Assist/TO ratio of 1.23 which is better than the team average of 1.19.  (BTW Anya lead the team at 1.65 and Johnson was 1.64.  Jimerson and McCottry brought up the rear (of the 8 main rotation players) at 0.76 and 0.71.)

Now my turn to ask you a question.  Name 5 players that had a total season better than Robbie's in the past 20 years.  I suggest you consider points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals and turnovers, but you just may want to wing it and randomly list players you remember.

You love box scores so do your homework.  I'll spot you one, Goodwin 2019-2020 season.  In that season, Goodwin's average points was lower than Avila's, his rebound average was better than Avila's, his assist average was below Avila's, his steals were better than Avila's, and his blocks were below Avila's.  And their turnovers were almost the same.

Give me four more.

What a freaking horrible day.  We get eliminated in a game we really should have won.  Baseball loses to crappy St Joes at home.  Sb gets swept at Dayton.   I’m headed down to Jupiter for a few days this weekend to watch another probably disappoint team.

I wonder if he could have a Conklin summer
