cgeldmacher Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Don't know if it was mentioned, but Malachi Smith from Dayton is in the portal. Quote

He's also listed at 6'7 and averaged 4.6 rebounds per game. Would be interesting to see McCottry and Bubu paired along side one another. Quote
cgeldmacher Posted March 24 Posted March 24 With all these names, I wouldn't know where to start. I hope our staff has a solid system in place for evaluating the portal players. Seems like the teams that do that the best are going to do the best. At this point, correctly navigating the portal and doing it better than other teams who are all also trying to do it better than you seems to be the key to success. Quote
ACE Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Luke Northweather from OU in the portal. Overall his numbers are underwhelming, but he put up some solid games against good competition. He would seem to fit the profile of a player who could be a good fit. A 6-11 240 lbs sophomore from Jefferson City. He was 17-50 from 3 for 34%. He played 10 minutes against UConn in the Dance and 19 minutes against UK in the conference tournament. Quote
BLIKNS Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Not sayin', just sayin', but saw Cam'rom Fletcher had entered the portal Quote

okay Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Could Rob Martin be a good replacement for Swope? Played at indiana state in 22-23 so should be familiar with Schertz system. https://x.com/recruitszone/status/1904226789871776186 Quote
okay Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I watched this guy at Arch Madness this year and he is LEGIT, extreme shooter. Based on those other schools I think he might be out of our budget https://x.com/TiptonEdits/status/1904310568531681594 Quote

Old guy Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Talking about the portal, our season is over. Have we had any players entered the portal? Have any of our seniors joined the NBA draft? Quote

It was never made clear what kind of injury Casey had that kept him from playing. So what he did this year for SLU is to use SLU's resources to pay for his medical bills, whatever they may have been. Too bad. I also thought the NBA might have had some interest in Jimerson but I think you are correct. Quote

gobillsgo Posted March 25 Posted March 25 1 hour ago, slu72 said: He’s still around? Apparently lol. For every Jayson Tatum or Brad Beal, there’s a bunch of Fletchers, Nesbitts, Biedscheids, Mario McKinneys, Rameys, etc. Never know what would’ve happened if those type of players would stay home rather than take the biggest possible offer. I guess Carteare Gordon is a counterpoint to that, though. Quote
TheA_Bomb Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I see 5 seasons for Cam'ron, UK, FSU, FSU, FSU, and X. He peaked season 2 at FSU. His stats at X are: PTS 1.3 REB 1.q AST 0.3 FG% 83.3 6'7, 230 lbs So I can guarantee Texas won't be after him. Not sure he'd help. Quote
