Ever since it was reported Thames was struggling with a chronic medical condition, you've been doubting it.  Why?  What reason would Coach Schertz have to make something like this up?

Plus during one game we saw Thames writhing in pain on the baseline during a timeout and every other game he's been taken to the back for IVs.

She's a real one. Always has been. Fire Chris May.

If I were an incoming university president, I would certainly be interested at why security was slow enough to a fight in the stands that our female Associate Athletics Director had to jump in and break up a massive brawl.

after sleeping on it.... the brawl was awesome. Go Bills

in hindsight, the brawl effectively ended the game.   the billikens stayed in their huddle focused and pretty much ignored the fight.   vcu stood in a line watching the fight.   the head coach had phillip in a bear hug to keep him out of the stands, my guess is it was a distraction that completely blew the focus of VCU and likely cost them the opportunity to actually come back.

Much as I don't like VCU, a brawl would have made more sense at the Dayton game, lol.

No, I haven’t doubted his condition. In fact, I’ve always been sympathetic and wished him a sppedy recovery. I also praised his play in the early going. I feel very bad for how this season has gone for Kellen. I guess what confused me was as his minutes declined, injury related I’m sure, so did his level of play. Undrstandable given the cramps situation. But I also wondered if he was becoming so frustrated not only with his physical well being, again understandable, that it was affecting his attitude. I’ve always been a Thames fan and wish him only the best going forward. Get well, Kellen, for your own well being first, and then for the Team.

I was impressed with Jimerson's defense on Shulga last night.  I tried to pay attention to that matchup.  Shulga did score 14, but 9 were from the line.  Gibson did an admirable job fighting through screens and keeping in Shulga's face.  Shulga repeatedly tried backing Gibson down, with limited success 2-12 from the floor.  Sure there were switchs, but Gibson was primarily on Shulga when he was in the game.  In addition to Gibson's team high 26 and 5 boards, his defense added to a stellar game.  I think we can put to rest "Gibson is playing too many minutes. His legs are tired."

The brawl made the NY POST.

Nationally we did not necessarily get good press from it.  Several are saying it was embarrassing and honestly, I agree.  It is a shame a visiting team's fans start a problem, and we get the black eye.

Main lesson:  Chaifetz Arena needs to invest in more off duty police security.  This is embarrassing how long this is taking to get under control.

First of all we have our own police force - where the hell were they.  Sounds like another May screw up.  He has very poor security plans - and yes I have a personal story with him and was very disappointed with his response.

Schertz put Gibson in a position to be successful.  Changing the matchups from the first go around at VCU to have Gibby on Shulga was huge.  Shulga isn’t really quick, more so tries to bully his way to get open shots.  That suits Gibby and his ability to defend.

Overall, it was a great matchup for him, and he made the most of it.

Maybe we are just getting started! I still can't believe there was a newsworthy altercation between SLU fans and rival fans and it didn't involve @billikenfan05 and instead appears to be some of the older men Billiken fans hahaha! S A I N T!!!!

Per WPB spaces, Phil Russell’s mom initiated

I was on the aisle in 115 with a front row seat to the mayhem. A few SLU regulars were yelling at the refs and Russell the entire game about his flopping for fouls. Eventually Russell's Mom had enough of the banter and headed up a few rows, down an aisle and in the face of a SLU fan. Within about 10 seconds the Russell family / posse swarmed with dogpiles ensuing and punches flying.

No one has said we can't have another one.

I was at game and watched the AD just sit in his seat in 103 watching, hearing later on he sent his assistant female AD into that chaos. We couldn’t believe it. I don’t know how anyone can sleep at night doing stuff like that. She really could’ve gotten hurt bad. Those people weren’t messing around.
