Oh, boy, don’t drink that Cancun water and bring your own ice.

@slu72:  I was just there June 3 - 8.  And I'm still standing.  How are you supposed to do a run of Mai Tais, Mimosas, Mango Tangos, and Strawbeey Daiquiris without using their ice???????

Yeah.  I've been to Cancun a few times and never had an issues.  Then again, I think I've developed a certain level of immunity over the years by eating a lot of expired foods.

Hey, I’m just quoting Old Guy’s warning to the team from SLU’s last trip to the Cancun classic. I’ve never been there, what do I know?

IF SLU is still planning to put together a MTE, with marque "resume building" teams, there are six P5 teams not yet committed.  And you know Missouri wouldn't accept an invite, so make it 5 candidates from the P5.  Of course there are other quality teams still out there, but this is what remains from the P5. The Big 10 was booked a while ago.

ACC: California*

Big 12: Cincinnati, Utah*

Big East: DePaul

SEC: Arkansas, Missouri

Has the Myrtle Beach Invitational been announced?

Website says Nov. 21,22 and 24

Showing us playing Wichita State on the 22nd, so may not be an option

Let's add the following:

George Mason: Marquette Challenge

Umass: Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase

Leaving Rhode Island, Richmond and us as A10 teams with no invites anywhere.

As for the Myrtle Beach Classic (which we and I were at last year), it says it will be November 21, 22 and 24 but with nothing else available on it for now.  Doubt we go back again two years in a row.

You limit your drinking to bottled beer.

@Old guy:  thy don['t have bottled beer.  Only tap beer on the resorts.  Corona was in my three spots in Mexico.  Presidente in the DR.  Balashi in Aruba.

@Taj79Cancun is special because many (not all) resorts manage to have clean water (which means clean ice) for the tourist trade. In other places you have to get to your waiter and make him bring you an unopened beer bottle, an alternative is to get bottled water in a sealed bottle. If you do not want to go through the chore of getting  bottled beer in the bottle, you can get get your Dr. to prescribe CIPRO (antibiotic) for you and bring it along. Mexico City and St. Petersburg were both built long ago in wet / swampy ground. Leaks in sewer and water pipes due to unstable subsoils are common in these places. They are well known for gastrointestinal issues affecting visitors.

Remember this, not everybody gets sick, but those that get sick and try to tough through it are in for a real bad time. Your choice, bringing CIPRO along provides some risk insurance and it works in Russia as well as in Mexico.

By the way, Presidente is fantastic.  ARod needs to find a way to get it distributed in the US.
