VTime has to be in the discussion. If he had his way SLU would have been the St Louis Metro all stars parent team. While it would have been great to have guys like Beal, Lee, McKinney et al in SLU Blue the likelihood was slim to none. But he also promoted a lot of kids who never stepped foot on a D1 court.

Ton of frustrating and euphoric moments too numerous to note, but recall two examples...

Early days of the board checked Billikens.com every 10 minutes to see if Maurice Baker would come to SLU...of course, he went to Ok St instead...hard to lure recruits when your facilities consist of the West Pine Gym....then came JGood, when that news broke, remember precisely what I was doing, where and when.

Same with coaching fires/hires, most legendary being Uncle Sodaberger and Majerus.
