I needed something to prevent me from working, thanks for posting the link! First at bat I saw was a 2-run home run to make it 13-10 with 2 out in the bottom of the 8th.

Well that sucked.   Not sure about using Litman instead of Bell or Gray today.   Litman always looks like he is about to get lit up.  Didn’t take advantage of the bye and now have an uphill battle.

I had my reservations about starting Holmes after getting lit up vs UD. I'm sure it just looks like hindsight 2020 now.

Yeah. If you can score 10 runs against UR's 2nd pitcher in a Holmes start, you really have to win.     This just sucks!

The fielding hasn't been much better and the hitting has been nowhere to be found in this one. I just don't get it.

14-0 thrashing to end the year. The A-10 regular season champs give up 27 runs in two tourney games. Mind-boggling.

You want to go down this road? The one where we talk about how the field didn't have lights available this season? How they couldn't host the A10 championship because they didn't have the press box or lights for it? You want to talk about how, during a midweek game, one of those outdated lights above the visiting dugout shattered and showered them with glass? 

Everyone wearing a SLU uniform laid an absolute egg from top to bottom in this tournament. Pitching, hitting, fielding, decision making. But they still won a regular season championship despite facilities below 13 of the other 14 teams in conference.

Holy smokes, I missed that! That feels like something that would have happened when @Pistol and I were at SLU with an athletic department that was not overly competent nor adequately funded in their defense.

OK.  I’m going to go Pollyanna here.  How about those two highlight reel defensive plays by our 2nd baseman in the early innings yesterday?  A lot of MLB guys don’t make those plays…the one bright spot in a dismal day.

You know what, you're right. And you're not being Polyanna, Ethan Sitzman deserves all the credit in the world for his performance in the field and was just about the only Billiken who brought his bat to the field with two hits. He had a wonderful game. 

Everyone else quit.
