Does signing with an agent bar him from coming back to college?

Edit: Depends - see below.  I get the idea that Yuri is all in on going pro now and not planning to return to college though.

depending on the type of agent. 2 types of agents, one type works with NCAA and if you hire that agent you can return.  Yuri will forgo his last year on eligibility per Travis Branham

I found this, on ncaa.com:

“After an NCAA player fills out the application for feedback from the NBA, he can begin working with an NCAA-certified agent. If a player chooses to sign with an agent not certified by the NCAA, he forfeits his college eligibility.”

Good luck to Yuri. A tremendous SLU career. The hostility towards him among some in the fanbase is bizarre. His success only helps the program.

After four years, it's time to take his shot. He'll make pretty good money playing ball whether it is in the NBA or not. While I wouldn't bet on him making it, it's also not the craziest notion. Considering that former Duquesne pass-first PG TJ McConnell has carved out an NBA career for many years now, it wouldn't be shocking to me if Yuri eventually made it.

Yuri's not an NBA player. he's "short"(by professional basketball standards) and his shot is poor. He's going to need to shoot 40+% from the three-point line to play in The League.

I don't want him back because this program needs to move on to a new identity. We never made the tournament with him. He was still a skilled player and stuck by his home town to play basketball. Mixed reviews in the end.

I don't know about that. If a guy has one elite talent/ability, theres always going to be a shot for him.
