Before reading any articles, I asked my wife why they would hire someone his age at this point. She's familiar with him as a Xavier fan and completely agreed with me. Then we found out he was 15 or so years younger than we thought. It is true that some people age a lot faster than others. This may well be one of those cases. billiken_roy
i have never been a lavin fan. his ucla success was in spite of his influence and talent. i will never forget the game ucla came to st louis to play an out of conference game. i am thinking it was right after their championship. lavin calls a time out after a little run by the billikens. and the players totally ignored him in the huddle. 2 or 3 of them didnt even join the huddle. used the opportunity to get a drink and chat off to the side. Rejuvenated the coaching career of Jimmy Harbaugh, let’s see what it does for Slicked Back Steve.

My mistake for not clarifying - he was an assistant for a number of years at Western KY and Oakland Raiders before USD. Good call, Compton! Bay Area Billiken
Someone poked the Bonnies that Mark Schmidt is a candidate for the Lakers job, moving from Olean to LA. Can’t you just see Schmidt coaching LeBron. Maybe the Bona cheerleader can become a Laker Girl too. 3star_recruit, Young Charles and billiken_roy like this

Replace a NBA championship* winning coach for underachieving with a coach that hasn't won richard in the Atlantic 10 and underachieves annually. However, a national search is reportedly being conducted. Per the current HBO docudrama (which I’m enjoying; it’s so SoCal like the Kardashians), Paul Westhead was brought to the Lakers by Jack McKinney (both having St. Joe’s roots) from La Salle. So in the “word” of the late Joaquin Andujar, “youneverknow.”
