He’s just setting it up with the curve.

Yes, but time is slidering by and Travis swings and misses a lot.

Did anyone see Yaya Keita play at Mizzou? Did he look the same as HS?

iirc he was injured a lot this season to, just seems to be too injury prone for a back up. 3rd option, worth it.

It is May 13th and we already have the best roster in the A10. Some of you are depressing.

I was just trying to keep the baseball analogies going. “Slidering” was all I could come up with in the minute I had to spare.

Not on transfers. .778 avg over the last four seasons:

  • Hits: Okoro, Perkins, Linssen, Nesbitt, Jones, Weaver, Isabell (Bess and Foreman were also on the '18-'19 team, but transferred earlier).
  • Misses: Williams, Wiley

Williams definitely.  Wiley,  while it's all part of the circumstance,  was injured the entirety of his time here.  There were a couple games we would've lost if not for him.

We have a really good group of players but it is definitely not a complete roster. We have gaping holes to fill.

Yep, and those holes are all on the bench. Luckily, it is only mid-May and there are a ton of available transfers.

The portal was made for bench players.  By the time August rolls around and we've gotten whoever we're going to get, there will still be hundreds of players looking for a home.

Sure doesn't feel that way, and it's hard to get anxious considering we've swung and missed on our initial targets. I think concern is absolutely a fair emotion among the fanbase.

The holes are two rotation players.  They might not start, but saying they are on the bench downplays their significance.

Has Crespin decided?

No. It's over a week since Stu said it was down to SLU and Washington State but his graduation was just this weekend so he may have been waiting to get home and do that first.

To be clear, he's not a transfer - 2022 recruit.

Add Chuks Isitua to the "staff following" list. 6-11, 220 lb. C from IUPUI. Averaged 5.6 and 4.6 in 21.6 MPG as a freshman. Shot .520 from the field and .574 from the line. Started playing basketball at 13, moved to the US from Nigeria at 14, attended Jack Yates HS in Texas. Good student. 3 years to play.

Doesn't jump out as the most exciting prospect because he didn't put up big numbers on what was a pretty bad team but there might be some upside here given his size and the fact that he's still a bit raw.

Just like Linssen we need a big not content to give up minutes to Okoro- it would not hurt if someone like Conklin could teach the bigs to be barriers to the paint area

No doubt the guys we’re looking for are critical role players unless we’re gonna be a 7 man team that can play without a PG for 5 -10 minutes and no Big for 10-15 mpg. I’m still trying to figure out why we didn’t make more of an effort to keep Traore.

i asked this over the weekend and no one on the board really responded.   what opening do we have on staff that would give conklin a spot to be hired for and be allowed to coach and recruit per ncaa guidelines?  if no such spot exists someone has to be fired first before your coaching wish can happen.  i believe the ncaa has strict rules as to how many actual coaches can be on staff.
