Are sure about that parking pass - they did not print any this year given what they told me.

Just an FYI incase anyone else was wondering - so I was able to get in contact with someone from SLU. Parking pass is not included in this game. I'm going to have to pay to park.

I tend to agree with you. The only thing is that I do think SLU is uniquely positioned to be able to compete with the big schools (maybe not the top tier) as a mid-major in this NIL world.  Only have to focus on bball, Located in a major city, $$ from donors and alumni commitment to athletics & facilities, etc.

A question donors might struggle with;  Do I give to a University fund raising effort, for example the new Athletic Building or do I give to an NIL fund which can help recruiting?

This could have serious impacts on future SLU fundraising. If I am one of the big multi-car, multi location car dealerships, so i want my $50,000 donation to just be reflected on a wall in the new building which lists donors, but will never be seen by the general public or do I want to. pay a local star a total of $10,000 to appear at 10 of my dealerships for one hour each to sign autographs and be in pictures with kids of potential car customers?

Valid point. Also, I would assume NIL payments would not be tax deductible  though(paying for a service).

Mine is on my phone like usual?

I never got my parking pass on my phone. They mailed me tickets for the garage. We use the Olive garage. Our season tickets are mobile, though. Who knows? I'm fine with it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out for tonight.

JP18 just go with your parking pass and see if they let you in or not. If they do not let you use your parking pass, just pay the fee and go in anyway.

It could easily be a business expense which is essentially tax deductible. You don’t have to make NIL payment with post-tax income/profits. You can easily (in most situations) pay for it with pre-tax dollars as a straight forward and very ordinary business expense.

Please note: I am not a tax lawyer or other tax specialist.

Can a Kentucky fan approach a SLU player, who has not entered the portal, and offer them an NIL deal to transfer to Kentucky?

Hasn’t this given boosters free reign to actively recruit players? Shouldn’t all players have business agents or attorneys to properly market themselves, make sure they have binding agreements and are not being taken advantage of?
