Scouting Report: Cisse is an athletic, smart, sound big man with good instincts. He keeps the ball high and has soft touch around the rim. He can handle the ball in the half court and in transition and runs the floor. He has a nose for the ball as an offensive rebounder. He's a high-level rim protector on the defensive end. He's also a good passer for a big man.

Scouting Report: Toure is a skilled, athletic, versatile guard who scores on three levels. He hits his jumper from the mid-range and outside off the catch or the dribble. He's a high-level passer who makes plays for his teammates. He's great with both hands as a passer, dribbler, and finisher. He rebounds his position very well and is a triple-double threat in every game. He has a strong frame and good length and size.

The challenge with these two - and Adkinson and Simpson at Webster Groves - will be keeping them local. Prep schools are already after all of them.

Not surprising - the mercenary high school scene in many ways is even more troubling than a lot of the nonsense with college sports now. BUT, you gotta take your shot and try to build relationships in recruiting when you can.

I've been waiting on this offer for awhile.  He has been lighting up the Ramey league since he was 13.  Not a blue chip 5 star but right below, will be a solid top 150 player and a very good college player.

Scouting Report: Jenkins is a long, talented big man with a rapidly developing game. He's an elite shot blocker with tremendous length. He's also an outstanding rebounder at both ends. He showcases very good footwork and has a full arsenal of finishing moves. He can step out and shoot from outside.

I am not naive enough to think this doesn't happen but recruiting players this way is against the MSHAA rules.  This kind of blatant action is what almost caused a split between public and private high schools in MO years ago.  I had a school try to recruit my daughter for soccer once and I explained to the coach that it was against regulations and asked her if she knew who I was -she said no and I said then you better research who you are talking to first because I am in charge of athletics in the district - I told her I would not report her this time but if I hear of her doing it again I would.  Like I said I know this happens but normally people aren't talking about it in such a public way.
