Medley-Bacon 😆Sure, it was a big priority for them to replace a guy who barely played.

He barely played because he got outplayed in practice ...so they played smaller lineups.  If you can go out and find a forward to replace him who can potentially give you minutes...you do it.

Exactly, the kid wasn't even going to be a factor for minutes next year, so he doesn't matter. They replace Douglas with two 6-8 bigs, plus youngsters with upside like Ward and Brown-Jones figure to earn more minutes.

That's a fantastic rumor. He'd be a great Billiken.

Talk about experienced.  This would be his 6th year in college.  The other players can call him "grandpa".  Of course, experience is usually a good thing .....

No kidding. Certainly a quality player. He was class of 2016 out of Westminster, so like you said another season would be his 6th in college basketball (his "senior" season at SIUC cut short by injury 6 games in and then this past season not counting). Based on a few different sites he turned 23 in late December, so this might be one dependent on whether he still wants to be going to college and playing college basketball.

Aaron Cook has been in college almost as long as Travis Ford has been head coach at SLU.

Not yet. But the chatter on the Gonzaga board is that Cook will move on.  They've got a five-star combo guard coming in so minutes will again be hard to come by.

This is a good article explaining how Cook went to Zaga expecting a bigger role until Nembhard suddenly became eligible.

Sounds like he there's a decent chance that he will move. Seems like a good teammate.

Also Nembhard just announced he is returning.

St Joe's MTE maybe, finally, officially announced?

I don't get it. St. Joe's gets invited to some pretty prestigious pre season events. While we are up in the air. C'mon Myrtle Beach Classic, invite the Billikens.
