While I understand this makes us and VCU the favorites, can some astute betting guy tell me what this means?  Does that mean to win $100 on the Bills you have to bet $250 to win?

The opposite. If you bet $100, you will win $250. So, if the odds were completely fair you could do the math that SLU has a 100/350 chance (28.5%) chance of winning. To be sure the odds aren't fair and if you bet on every team you'd likely spend $125 to guarantee a $100 payout.

I'm another mbm who doesn't know much about gambling. Would that 100 to win 250 mean you get 350 back? I'm asking since you say it's 100/350 chance?

If that's the case, does this convert to the old-school way of posting odds of 3.5 to 1? This is the kind of odds I grew up with.

Yep you would get 350 back. 250 winnings plus the 100 bet.

Are there sports books now at the casinos on the Illinois side?  I know that FanDuel is putting one at Fairmont Park, but that it won't be open for a while still.

they're everywhere else over there.

Yeah because gambling is a noble endeavor. Everyone wins and no one loses. Gambling. Weed.  Hard drugs.  Prostitution.  Legalize everything.  Just don’t ask for my support or money when it all goes wrong.......

Im no bible thumper. Haven’t been in a church other than a wedding and funerals since I was a kid. I’ve been walking the earth long enough to know a bright shiny lie when I see it though.....

It generates revenue. Something MissouRAH desperately needs, but go ahead and preach your morals (denying women their right to control their own bodies is just fine, though) and watch every state pass you by..... again.

We are no where near as desperate as Illinois thank god and you have no idea what my morals are or more likely morality in general.  I don't mind at all when states pass us by in stupidity and evil.  Seems like a win for us.....

LOL. This guy.

You know what isn't a noble endeavor ? Watching young adult men play for your amusement without compensation. That's more abhorrent than gambling.

So are you saying gambling is evil? It’s entertainment. Can it be abused? Sure ,but so can a lot of things.

I didn't define gambling as evil.  I don't see any value in it and don't find it entertaining.  I also don't find value in decriminalizing heroin, pcp and crack.  Is Oregon or Washington passing us by?
