Since then we haven't lost and they haven't won. 2 of the 3 teams we beat are better than LaS... the 3rd one is the bottom feeder Fham , AND Fham just beat LaS. We are currently an A- team....they are a C team trending at C-. Put in context, 18pts doesn't seem so crazy. With the win over Fham we have reached the magic 13 games to be considered for a Dance bid...especially important in light of the Fham shut down today...made it by the skin of our teeth. Also with 13 games, it gives me a larger sample size to start narrowing the grade focus....With an A- at this point...our range the rest of the year should be from B+ to A.......B+ gives us a 1/3 chance for a bid...A- gives us a bid...and A gives us a good seed. Besides the rust ...we played bad, they played good ...let's look at some numbers.... It will be important to shut down their 3 pt shot. ...and for us to have a balanced attack to open up some opportunities inside and out. The reb game on 2/ 3 was disappointing. They tied us on the boards at 29 a piece. They are a poor reb team . That should have never happened. It wasn't that LaS rebounded great, it was that we were missing from the boards. Yesterday's 55 rebs were nearly twice what we had against LaS. Think big board numbers. WWN2D2W....Make some shots ...48/36/ 72 will work....Dominate the boards...win that battle by 9...No real stars on their team....hold their top 3 scorers to 25....Beatty killed us from the arc last time...80% (4 of 5) ....put somebody on him. Keep TOs to 11....also we should be able to pressure them to turn the ball. over 15 times. Bottom line....Pay back time....We should have never lost that last game...I am giving us a Covid pass on that one. But on this one , we owe them big time....How big?...18 pts. Make some shots ...48/36/ 72 will work ......We did ....53/32/59...The good thing is the extra 2's were enough to make up the difference in the rest of the line.... the 2's look good...the 3s are improving and we need to get the FT back a up a bit. Honestly you'd think that a guy trying to sell his betting advice would actually welcome the exposure of people on twitter reacting to his picks - good or bad. He's missing out on a lot of free publicity if he blocks anyone who calls him out for when some of his advice inevitably doesn't pan out.
