I think this is one of the hidden aspects of coaching that they don't get enough credit for. JP led juco nation in scoring. He obviously was always a scorer. Ford and staff gets credit for transferring that ability to his current level in only one semester.
HoosierPal
After three games, Perkins has zero turn overs. He has a team high 80 minutes, 8 assists and 0 turnovers. He leads the nation, heck the world, in A/TO ratio.
billiken_roy
i knew perkins would be good, but not this good. he is really fun to watch and comparisons to george gervin or calbert cheaney are justified imo, perkins is for real. bauman
The only thing that will hurt his PPG average this year is lack of minutes due to game scores-like last night. I love watching him shoot the 3s and smoothly attack the basket. BTW, HF's reverse lay up with his right hand was Perkins-like.

Roy, I'm hopeful that at some point this year, when writing in a thread about JP (javonte perkins) you will be able to locate the CAPS KEY on your "typewriter" and give him a WOW! NBA teams have got to have eyes on him at this point. That size with that scoring efficiency, sheesh.
slu72
To me, the most amazing thing about Perkins’ game is he can score from everywhere on the court. At the rim off the dribble, mid range, and the perimeter.
