Unsurprisingly, it's the writers who were already paying attention to us and giving us some love on Twitter and in their articles/lists/blogs.

We're all learning something today:  most of the voters don't pay any attention to teams outside of the top 25.  If you beat the #26 team, it's almost like it doesn't count.

This is true.

Bottom line for us is we have to beat everyone on the non-conference schedule. We aren't going to jump; we just need to keep winning and the teams ahead of us will drop some games.

We also need Minnesota to play well between now and 12/20 when we play them on the road. Minnesota's schedule: vs. Loyola-Marymount tonight, vs. North Dakota, vs. Boston College, vs. Kansas City, at Illinois - so there's a chance they could be a 1-loss team when we see them and that would be a nice potential road win if we can pull it off.

-I would like our guys to play a game in front of fans sooner rather than later as reading JPerk's comments about the LSU game he mentioned how it was different

-get to Texas or wherever else this is happening

Davidson is so well coached you can never count them out of a game. But TX is killing them on the boards which is our strength.

Texas (Ramey) just waltzed to the rim to take the lead under 30s left. Brajkovic is so bad when he’s not protected by the home team refs.

Interesting that our highest vote (18) came from Dave Matter.  I guess we need to cut him some slack for a while.

Also interesting that Jerry Carrino had us 22 in the Nov. 9 pre-season poll, but now has us at 25.  How does that happen?  Can't complain too much about a guy that was on us early, but how does he drop us in the poll after we beat LSU?

I have never seen this before. Thank you. It is so comical to think that each of these individuals have a spreadsheet, marking out their favorite teams, and that makes up a large portion of who eventually gets noticed and put into the dance or other playoff. Maybe we should stop giving bags of cash just to the players, and maybe give one to Dick Vitale?

I’m sorry, neither Davidson nor Texas are in our stratosphere, or Richmond’s

Texas is actually a pretty good team, did not look like it today.  But Id still feel confident playing Texas anywhere. Davidson also looked better than I thought they would.

Texas is a a paper tiger, and has been ever since Shaka got there.

It is tough to see Rick Barnes doing so well at Tennessee.   If Shaka doesn't get it done this year he never will.

mckillop is just a very good coach.

the a-10 has a number of very good coaches now.

He is, but hanging with Texas isn't an indication of it.  Texas won by 2 over McNeese State this time last year.  Shaka has been the Pat Kennedy Waste of Talent titleholder for several years now.  Penny is trying to take his belt.
