3star_recruit
If Goodwin came back for a 5th year, he would end his Billiken career as the all-time leader in points, assists and top 3 in rebounds. I imagine there would be similar situations all across college basketball where 5 year players would rewrite the record books.

If Goodwin or anyone else was given the opportunity to enter the NBA draft with a reasonable chance of being selected and make a LOT of money. Would he choose the NBA or would he choose to be the top leader in assists, points and rebounds. If this was your choice what would you choose to do? I thought so. Reinert310
Apparently TJ tripped over the cord and accidentally unplugged the machine, but I like those numbers. Also on TJ’s Instagram story-Has putting in work at the line. The guys are putting in work. Let’s go! NoCoBillsFan likes this

I'm going to guess based on the way he has been described as a beyond the arc specialist that a large number of those 534 shots were of the 3 pt variety. Put him, Perkins, Jimerson and Yuri on the court together and there will not be anybody double and triple teaming Hasahn in the paint. That's just one of many options TF will have available this year. Sub one of those guys out and put JG in and you still have a team that can fill it up on the scoreboard. This is going to be fun. DOC
Has there been any discussion of Okoro giving up his redshirt? With the extra year it would make sense to me. Unless of course his health leaves him unable to play this year.

I thought the original idea of the redshirt was because he wouldn’t even be ready to play 100% this season Crewsorlose and 3star_recruit like this

The extra year is only for guys that play this year (since they may not be able to get all the games in and want to discourage people from opting out). If you aren't playing this year, I'm not sure why you'd get an extra year added on to what you otherwise would have been able to get. It does make sense to get his transfer approved for play this year. Even if you are 99% sure he won't need it, it doesn't hurt to have that flexibility

He gets the year back if he plays so it makes zero difference in his eligibility if he doesn't red shirt. Maybe he's ready to go by Feb, March and can help at the end of the year

SLURadioBoy
More on the Bills from The Athletic’s mailbag yesterday. Looks like Saint Louis is backing out of the Orlando Invitational (like many other teams) and is joining Nebraska’s MTE in Lincoln instead. Will playing/beating a few top-50 teams in this event and finishing at or near the top of the A-10 be enough to get them an at-large bid? — Andy T. It is going to be so hard to figure out who gets an at-large bid and how this year, what with the odd number of games everyone will be playing and the inevitable shutdowns that I’m sure will hit the sport. The easiest route, of course, is to win the league. Ordinarily the Atlantic 10 is in a fine position to count on multiple bids, but this year, who knows? Win the league and you’re good. And the thing is, Saint Louis, with five starters back from a team that won nine of its final 12 games last year, can do it. But yes, aside from that direct route, collecting as many decent nonconference games (and wins) as possible will help. LSU could be a Top 25 team, who knows what Oklahoma State can do with Cade Cunningham, and Northern Iowa won 25 games last year, so that’s a nice little group for the Billikens to add to the résumé. bauman
I listened to Coach Ford on the KMOX Sunday Morning Sports Show this morning and here are a few takeaway items: Almost no discussion of the team or players. During the last few minutes he was asked about FT and GJ's health and said they are both doing well and are going at full strength in practice. That's it with regard to the team; I can't figure out from his comments what the hangup is with regard to MTE'-either Orlando or Nebraska. Sounds like we are out of Orlando, but he was non-committal about Neb, even to the point or the # of games. He said two or three, but didn't say we are committed to that event. He said we were looking at 4 or 5 home OOC games and that C May was working with the city(that should be a fun experience) on allowing, at least an agreed upon percent of fans in the building; This is the second time I have heard him say we were finished with the schedule in May or June (said June, today); The questions asked by the host were more about dealing with COVID, and on how TF was dealing with high expectations for this team. The discussion about the latter was very general-last year was great but we have to move forward and work harder than ever; Coach was asked about practices and I think most Billiken.com MBMs could have given the answer--30 practice days in the 42 day window prior to our first game or Nov 25 when games are first allowed. TF did give his logic for starting practice a few days later than they could have---so they could string together practices later as the season opener approached All in all, I expected more from KMOX. I guess it's pretty early for much more and, of course, Travis is a master of coach-speak. BuiltFordBills likes this
