Taj79
The Mitchell twins left Maryland in December. They only recently declared their intent to enroll at Rhode Island. Don't you have to be enrolled in your new school for two semesters before coming eligible. Much like Gordon transferring to Depaul and enrolling that January, don't the Mitchell twins have to put a year in the school to which they transferred before they become eligible? As i read it, come December, they will have been out of Maryland for one year but only at Rhode island for one semester. Anyone know? Yes, you must complete two academic semesters at your new school before competing. You have the option to begin playing after the first semester - midseason - at the new school but you burn a year of eligibility even though you're only playing a little over half a season. The Mitchell twins would sit a full year because they didn't go to URI for this spring semester. (This is, of course, assuming a normal year - the NCAA may grant immediate eligibility to all transfers this year.)
