Full A-10 Projections:

30. Richmond

32. SLU

56. Davidson

75. Bona

81. VCU

83. Duq

90. UMass

91. Dayton

96. Rhody

115. Mason

140. St Joes

141. Fordham

144. LaSalle

234. GW

Initial thoughts outside of SLU being too low.  Fordham & St. Joes are wayyyy too high.  DUQ is too low.  Dayton, Rhody, & maybe UMass are slighly too low.

-nope, this is wrong, SVU is on top in every preseason poll, these folks didn't get the memo (  I wondered if this post is too soon, but here it is)

My guess for starting 5 and first few off:

Yuri

Goodwin

Perkins

French

Bell

---------

Fred

Jimmerson

Hargove

Jacobs

I'd start Jimerson and leave Perkins coming in off the bench. He does well in the role now, he just needs to get 30 min a game and be in down the stretch

Nice work.  Out of reactions or I would give you a good post.

A couple of minor corrections:

  • You've got STrickland spelled wrong
  • Jack Raboin was on scholarship this season so you should put him in that 13th spot.
  • Thatch and Jimerson are both medical redshirts this season so they should each move down a class (Thatch with Collins, etc. and Jimerson with Strickland, etc.)
  • If you're including walk-ons for this year, you might as well include them on the other years as well.  Hightower is a Jr and Courtney is a Soph.

The one thing to keep in mind about next season, we're setup for some big wins with the SDSU game and the Orlando tourney.  I'd love a SLU-MSU rematch so we can exact revenge and so I can have bragging rights in the house (although, that might land me on the couch for a while).

Worth it!

It's at SDSU. Their house means their house.

I did it last week. I initially intended to send it in 2 posts and thought we were at least a week away from playing our last game. So I posted it quickly after I arned it was over and someone had said we need to get it going. I apologize  for its length.

Pending transfers out (and in) Richmond, SLU, St. Bonaventure, Duquesne and UMass have the majority of their key contributors coming back.  SLU, Duquesne and UMass had serious injury to one or more rotation players and they could be back.  If Pritchett wants and gets a 5th year at Davidson, he will be a plus to their rotation.  It will be interesting, but transfers out will occur and will shake this up.

I didn't want to copy your entire post, but one Summer Mission I would like to see French work on is a 8-12 foot jumper.  If he had a pull up to add to his drives, that could make him unstoppable.

while i have not been a fan of hankton since the day we first saw him play, i will defend him to the end of time if he is more about getting his SLU education than playing time.   as long as hankton is a good teamate, citizen and student, imo he deserves to be on the team that offered him a scholarship.    as far as i can see from my seat in the arena, kc hankton is a good teamate, we havent read about him being in trouble off the court and one assumes he is a passing student.   kc's decision.

He did have one good game to credit him on, Richmond last year.

I took heat last time I brought this up for some weird reason, but here it is again..  Jacobs is in a interesting position. I think if its assumed Fred is back, I'd watch and see what Jacob does.

I have nothing against him at all. I just won’t be surprised if he leaves to chase playing time somewhere else. I just don’t see a spot for him next year and I’m sure he does too. Would be a great spot for a sit one play 2 transfer

Ooo good point. Ending the season benched for some reason wouldn’t be making him end on a good note

Weird optics on that one.  Does Penny think Crutcher is/was a senior or is he not being subtle at all?  "Great career" / "made MEMPHIS proud"

On the off chance Crutcher did transfer to Memphis, it really seems like this tweet could be used in a tampering case against Penny, right?  Doesn't a player have to be in the transfer portal before opposing coaches can contact them?

Maybe Penny knows the rules and is walking the finest of line, but ya sure seems like a form of tampering. Maybe one of the things coaches are allowed to do is congratulate.  But noting that hes able to transfer is sketchy.

I agree, i am sure most coaches talk with players after the season and discuss future playing time and roles on the team. The player should get to decide his future stay or leave. kc may like slu or he may want to go somewhere and get to play more, should be his call

the fact penny paid wiseman family moving expenses before he took the coaching job, shows either penny is stupid to not know he is forever a memphis booster and subject to the rules regardless of whether is a coach or not or he is a cheat.   i.e. i wouldnt be too sure penny knows or cares about rules.

Crutcher is from Memphis.  He has one more year of eligibility.  If I was his advisor, I would have him declare for the NBA and get feedback.  Then make his decision on his collegiate future.
