My guess is that if guys got the same # of votes, they didn't have a tie-breaker. I got the SLU guys right, but botched the rest of it. I don't know the point of calling it A-10 awards and evaluating non-conference. Gudmundsson was amazing in conference and clearly does more for his team than Grady. Whatever. Glad to see the Billikens get the respect they deserve. Remember J-Good's tweet at the beginning of the season when he was picked 3rd team? I don't get Blake Francis on any team? High volume scorer, not very efficient, and does nothing else, who missed 1/3 of conference games? And Lofton on the 1st team? I didn't even know who that guy was on Saturday. A10Ref
They do six players whenever there is a tie in the amount of votes. I know it drives some people crazy, but I am fine with it. These teams are supposed to reward players and not screw them over for losing a coin toss or whatever a tiebreaker would be. 3star_recruit
The league did all right by our guys. Pretty much a clone of the predicted picks on this board. The Bonnies got rewarded for finishing ahead of UMass in the standings. Hence the placement of Lofton ahead of Mitchell on the first team. But everybody knows that Tre Mitchell is one of the top 3 players in the league. He'll be the preseason POY in the conference going into next year. slufanskip
Have we ever been this represented on the all league teams? One on each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams. 6th man of the year. 2 on all defensive team and 1 on all rookie team. In all 4 different players represented. Great job to the Bills and coach Ford. rgbilliken and BillIkenFan_Dan like this

juniorbill76
By my count, here are the totals of those awarded for the playing categories (not counting all-academic, which is important but a different type of category). Please advise if I messed up. STL 7 Dayton 5 Richmond 5 St. Bona 4 Mass 3 RI 3 Mason 1 Davidson 1 Duquesne 1 St. Joe 1 GW 1 VCU

Hard to compare since they do 18 guys make top 3 teams now as opposed to 15 but: 2012-13 we had COY, 1st Teamer, 2 3rd teamers, 1 all-defensive and 6MOY, 1 all academic 13-14 we had COY, POY, 2 1st teamers, 1 all defense, 2 all academic

HoosierPal
Some will bolt, but 3/4 of the players on the three teams should be back next season.
NH
I'm fine with Daly being on the third team. Yes, he scored 20ppg but he was also taking 17 shots every night. 31.0% from 3 and 42.0% overall doesn't scream all-conference to me. He's a very good player, but given how bad St. Joes were I don't think he should have made one of the first two teams. I'm surprised about Lofton, but I do think he's a good player. I probably would have had Mitchell and Golden over him. I don't think Francis deserved 2nd team. Good player, but not top 12 in the conference. I'm glad Dowtin made 3rd team. He's been a great representative of the A-10 for the last four years.
kmbilliken
What a tandem of all around players. Goodwin and French both average double doubles and make all defense team.
Duff Man
Glad to see the Big 3 all getting their All-conference due. What's great about this team is how everyone has settled into their role and flourished within the team unit. No time to rest on these laurels. Get the W Friday and keep it going.
