slu72
I see this as being our BIG GAME of the season. Beat the Rams in their house should give team Blue a huge shot of confidence going into the final two games. This could be the game that makes or breaks this whole entire season. Not saying we couldn't pull off a miracle redux in Brooklyn, but the league is tougher this year. I want the NCAA as much as anyone, but the thought of the NIT is also real. So in that aspect, finish strong because worst case it'll help NIT seeding. HoosierPal
NEW YORK — Favorable result at Rose Hill Gym aside, it was a wounded University of Rhode Island team returning to campus late Wednesday night. Jeff Dowtin limped to the team bus receiving electronic stimulation on a gimpy right ankle. Jacob Toppin wore an ice bag strapped to his left ankle. Then there was Cyril Langevine, who wore the same black sweatsuit he featured on the visiting bench throughout the 76-75 thriller against Fordham. Langevine was ruled out due to an upper-body injury, missing just the fourth game of his college career. “He hadn’t practiced,” URI coach David Cox said. “But he’s missed a number of practices this year and been able to play because he’s such a warrior. You just never know with his threshold. “I trust our training staff and I trust him. He just couldn’t do it.” Langevine endured one final test Wednesday afternoon and wasn’t cleared to dress. The unspecified injury occurred during Saturday’s 77-75 overtime loss at Davidson, one in which Langevine collected his 31st career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The senior forward had played in his last 88 straight and 125 of 128 overall. Cox said Langevine would be day-to-day entering Sunday’s matchup with Saint Louis at the Ryan Center. Dowtin also managed just 29 minutes, his lowest total since a 69-58 win over Davidson on Jan. 8. The senior guard matched a season high by logging 43 minutes Saturday against the Wildcats. “Now we’ve got a huge game — fortunately, it’s at home — against a very good Saint Louis team on Sunday,” Cox said. “That’s an NCAA-caliber team. We’ll have to look at the film and try to continue to get better and get healthy.”

slu72
Not trying to start a GDT 3 days before the game. Just saying this is a big game for the Bills. We can move up in the NET and gain a lot of confidence going forward. I think it has become the most important game we've played all year. prebilliken
The importance of this game could not be bigger. We have to win out to feel safe about the four spot. Winning out would also mean that we have a shot at the 2 seed if everything were to go right. March Madness is upon us.

We’d have to beat St Bonaventure and the Bonnies would also have to lose to either LaSalle or St.Joes. Davidson and Duquesne would also have to each lose 2 of 3 against tough competition. There’s actually a very long shot way going 1-2(win has to come against Bonnies) if Bonnies, Davidson, and Duquesne go 0-3.
