or maybe gw made a correction that took away our previous success?

correct roy, other teams have coaches who make adjustments, and to assume goodwin is going to shoot the entire game like he did in the first five minutes is very wishful thinking

I have absolutely no problem with French playing 33 minutes instead of 36 minutes.  Certainly would alleviate the Hack-a-French if Bell played a few more minutes in the second half.

Hasahn is one of my favorite Billikens of the 21st century, but I would like to see what happens if he would get a bit more bench time. Would our defense crumble? Would our offense stagnate? Or would it throw off the opponent's game plan, help him be more effective on the offensive end, and keep him fresh and focused at the FT line, especially in the second half?

I agree, but I do cringe when both French and Goodwin are on the bench at the same time.  It should be pretty easy to have one in and when the other is out, except of course if both are in foul trouble.

Ford said Bell leads the team in points/rebounds per minute played and the coaches agreed he needs to play more minutes

realize you didn't say 8/6 in 27 minutes or that it would lead the team, but it doesn't at that rate in either category. Maybe Coach could stop by a math class since he's on campus

Man so true. Perkins could have played 59 minutes last night, easily (his 25 plus Jacobs 34).  😖

The fact that Perkins was in foul trouble and had to ride the bench is not important, correct?  He gets 10 fouls when he takes Jacobs minutes.

What's Metz limit? Assuming an older reference...some sort of max "bad posts" you can have?

A long time poster on this site that uses the Stan Kroenke avatar who could get obnoxious and his posting would be restricted to 3 per day.

Metz was restricted before the site was changed where posters could rate posts.

Roy, Pistol, 05 and others that have posted on this site longer than myself could tell you more about it.

Metz hardly posts at all so you probably have not seen one.

I wanna know which ref had money on GW vs the spread.    The calls on us and non calls on them in the last 10 minutes especially were a joke.

and for goodness sake, despite his limitations, WE NEED MORE BELL.

Also, Yuri needs to shoot more. Guy averaged a lot of points in HS.  Get his confidence up.   Happy with the win, but very concerned about Richmond as well.

I don't think we have positions. One time last night we had French and 4 guards with Jordan playing the 4.

I agree with you that it seems the positions are flexible. But in general, you are always going to see 3 of the following on the floor: Jacobs, Collins, Weaver and Goodwin. Per KenPom, Perkins has played 0.0% of the minutes over the past 5 games (screenshot below). Lineups.JPG.e20fde4d4246a2ca43744f12813ed773.JPG

Jacobs played well last night. Only took one bad shot and had 4 steals. Had a rough shooting night. But was agressive defensivley and looked better to me from section 107.

I believe number 9 was what I was referencing .

Agree, huge Jacobs fan.  He just keeps getting better both offensively and defensively.  Thank goodness Ford is the coach because Jacobs needs to play 25+ minutes a game.  He is starting to "get it".  Gonna be a really good player.

Perkins is also getting better ..... but some of his shot selection drives me crazy. 35% fg%, 25% 3pt% has to improve.  Yes, I know on some of those misses draw fouls and love that he can hit ft's.  But I see Jacobs as more reliable player at this point.

Actually, if a player is fouled, the field goal attempt doesn't count, unless it goes in.  Therefore, none of the times that Perkins drew fouls for two free throws contributes to his poor shooting percentage.
