slufan13
- SLU makes the tournament 7 of the 10 years and makes at least one Sweet 16 - Travis Ford is the coach for the entire decade and becomes the longest tenured head coach in school history and also passes Eddie Hickey for most wins - There is a Situation 3 but this time the players are found innocent after a 30 day investigation. Despite this concise and fair process, the season is still derailed as SLU endures their only losing season of the decase - Austin McBroom is sentenced to 6 years in prison after being found guilty of stealing from over 35 Chili's restaurants - roy expands his lead for most posts in board history - SLU still does not sell replica jerseys or merchandise - SLU sets the record for lowest free throw % in a season - Grandy Glaze comes onto the board to sell his premium snapchat and sells over a dozen subscriptions - Jim Crews does not come back as SLU honors the 15 year anniversary of their back to back A10 champion teams - The annual Big East thread is created each year but SLU stays in the A10 - SLU hosts College Gameday before a top 20 matchup against Dayton - SLU men's soccer returns to the Final Four the year after the women's team is the national runner-up - One former player joins Travis Ford's coaching staff and the board decides he is the "coach in waiting" - SLU makes a run in the NIT but is forced to give up a home game due to a Lorde concert at Chaifetz Arena - Travis Ford continues to say something negative in every halftime interview with Scott Highmark - SLU begins a season as a top 10 team with a 5 star lottery pick recruit. After a 21-0 start and a #1 ranking, the 5 star freshman tears his ACL going up for a meaningless dunk in a midseason exhibition game against D2 Fordham and SLU eventually loses in the first round of the NCAA tournament as a 9 seed - Steve correctly picks the exact tally of the 2020, 2024, and 2028 elections. He is made special advisor to the leading candidate's campaign in preparation for the 2032 election. He is forced to sell the rights to the board. Blake Ahearn buys board for over $6M after making very sound investments of his 10 day NBA contract. He limits all posters to 2 posts per day in retaliation of past mistreatment. bauman
Love your post SF 13, especially the halftime , Scott Highmark prediction, but wished you had skipped the S3 comment. Why so negative---only 7 of 10 NCAA bids? Hope you are right about TF being here the entire period.

SLU offers his son a scholarship on his 8th birthday. All is forgiven. If I could, I'd like to add a side note to Coach Ford's halftime interview prediction. In every pregame interview, Coach Ford will act as if whatever team we are about to play is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I know every coach does it, and it's part of keeping the guys focused and respecting every opponent, but Ford is so good at it, makes it so believable. He could make my former 5th grade Kirkwood Junior Basketball League team sound like the Chicago Bulls dynasty of the 90's. It's really fascinating to listen to with Rammer and Earl on the radio. johnbj14
This next decade is one where we see SLU take the next step forward as a program. Tournament appearance in at least 6 of the 10 years. Multiple top 25 appearances. A dominance of stl recruiting. Missouri finally plays us in a home and home, with SLU taking both games. Travis Ford builds a legitimate powerhouse, that will be sustainable for years to come. Bring on the 2020s, Kool Aid for all. We seemed to be constantly battling and often losing recruiting battles against those programs in the Sodie era. Ford is recruiting at a much higher level now, I barely pay attention to what those teams are doing.
