Kenpom has hated and cheated against slu forever.   Dont read.   It is garbage and part of the ncaa deep state.

Kenpom looooved us in 2012 and 2013. Interesting to note we played Memphis in the first round of the tournament that year... tournament seedings next to school names.... THAT is deep state

First off, I am still mad at/ready to fight that younger referee.

And perhaps others commented on this earlier, but when you play a team that's wearing lavender unis (for God only knows what reason), you gotta come out of it with a W.

Also, the K-State mascot costume sucks.  Guess they could only afford the head.

F those hayseeds.  F the whole state of Kansas.  Suck it, Bruce.

Him making the K-S-U with his arms and the most senior fans joining in was as bizarre of a thing as I've ever seen at a sporting event

What p*%#*# me off about the young referee wasn’t so much the bad calls, those happen, it was him making a call from across the court when another ref was 5 feet away from the play.

If the guy standing right there didn’t see it it’s most likely not a foul. No need to insert yourself into the game by trying to be a super star referee.

Want a bizarre fans/sporting event story?

Was at a Buffalo/New England football game years ago, dead of winter, two feet of snow in the upper deck with more coming down.

Bunch of drunk Bills fans on one side of our section, bunch of drunk Pats fans on the opposite side. Fights, snowball fights, throwing up on each other, etc all game long.

There are ten of us from military bases who don’t care about the game, but we want to mess with all the obnoxious fans. We come up with a sled dog race down the snow covered concrete and metal stairs. Rather than going down feet first and the pusher holding the sled dogs hands, the drunks decided they would go down on their bellies, faces first.
The dogs and their pushers all got messed up, others decided to mosh pit dive after them, and the the cops came to fight everyone.

We left, intact.

Sounds like something out of the 82nd Airborne playbook but being upstate NY it probably was the 10th Mountain. New England's football secret, which is not so secret, is the snow and the cold in an open stadium (Green Bay qualifies too). Some visiting teams do not do well in that environment. And plenty of alcohol in the blood provides adequate anti-freeze protection and motivation for a free for all in the snow. The cops were working, you guys were having fun.

I saw that brain cramp as well.  I also saw Yuri take two charges Saturday that both resulted in the back of his head slamming against the floor.  It's a very real possibility that he was in bit of a fog on that play.  I was surprised he was mentally and physically sharp enough at the end of the game to close it out the way he did.  He's a tough little dude.

Yuri had a good 2nd half and we would not have won the game without his 2nd half play.

It's a good win for SLU. Rough season thus far for K-State. The hope is that K-State can pull off some Big 12 wins. They do not have a single current top 150 Ken Pomeroy win yet. Best win so far is 153 North Dakota St. 3 of their 6 wins thus far are against teams that have won 1 game each all season.

In other words, KState sucks. They are probably one of the two worst team in the Big 12. Beating them by 3, even on the road, isn't that great of a victory.

It's about context. It's a very good win for a young team in a hostile environment. They had a chance to fold and they didn't. Has wasn't near 100%. Jimerson out. Thatch out. KC basically out. Young guys and new guys stepped up.  This is the type of win that can pay dividends later in the season (much like the close loss to Auburn likely helped out here).

11,000 fans loudly cheering against us. The first time kids like Yurimania, Hargrove, Perkins, Weaver, Bell, and Jacobs have ever experienced anything like that. They keep their cool and go on to a W. And u say no big deal? It was a big deal to them and all Bills fans.

Hard to tell which of your posts is the dumbest.  Having trouble deciding.  So many choices...

Weber was a pissy little baby after the loss too.

Okay, I will say it. Maybe, Travis Ford outcoached Bruce Weber?   Maybe Ford’s game plan was better.?  Maybe French struggled abit more due to injury, not practicing all week and not having Jimerson in the lineup. Maybe we won by “only” 3 bc we were missing our 3rd leading scorer (GJ) as well as our Big Three guy/defensive specialist (Thatch) and French was nicked up and out of  sync.
The great Final Four Coach and Power 5 coach Bruce Weber?  The great upstart young Coach Lowrey who kept the SIUC machine going previously run by Weber?
Weber and Lowrey started their K State rebuild prior to Ford.  They benefit with the draw of the Big 12 v A10. They had four year starter in Sneed.  This was their year. Almost home game in KC.  Instead, their starters held at or below season averages as our our freshmen and new faces stepped up. Yep, Coach Ford is due credit. And yes, a win is a win.

Speaking of CLO I got good chuckle that Kstate all of a sudden played Joker and a Thief before tip and everyone claps along. Oddly similar to a school just east of us that CLO and Weber coached at.
