They aren’t that good. They put their eggs into Pipkin's basket, and that isn't looking too good right now.

HoosierPal
This pretty much sinks Davidson for the season. Frampton was a starter and lead the A10 in three's made last season. Hugh loss. Compton likes this

I don't think Czerapowicz has played this year and 6th man Carter Collins has moved into the starting lineup. Their more significant problem is that they're weak up front. Aside from Brajkovic, they have next to nothing there.

If not Belmont, then Loyola Chicago. The A10, if they got aggressive, could build a conference right behind the Beast. The addition of Davidson was a great move. They need to follow it up with a few more. Hell, Fordham could be the sleeping giant in the Colonial. They might welcome the move. Teams that would improve the A10: Belmont, Loyola Chicago, College of Charleston, Valpo. All these are schools that are keeping with the small state school/private school makeup of the conference. HoosierPal
George Mason is the first A10 team with 10 wins, beating American last night. Mason currently has 2 Q1 wins. (Quad shifting will occur when conference seasons start.) The Bonnies celebrate 50 years of their Final Four team, defeating Hofstra in front of Bob Lanier's gang. With Osunniyi back, have the Bonnies figured it out? And GW grabbed some headlines defeating previously undefeated Delaware by 10. If you use RPI, and a cut off of 45, today the A10 has four tourney teams, Dayton at 24, Rhode Island at 39, George Mason at 44 and Richmond at 45. (SLU is 103 and VCU is 119.) Just interesting at the quarter pole, nothing more.

HoosierPal
Dayton putting a whooping on a good St. Mary's team. At half time 46-25. Toppin having pedestrian game so far, but Crutcher is lighting it up with 5 of 6 from the arc. Something must be contagious today for the A10 from distance. Crewsorlose
Weekend started terribly for the A-10, but conference rebounded with a decent 6-3 yesterday, and a very nice 3-0 today, assuming Dayton can hold on against St. Mary's. People don't take notice, but weekends like this in December are little pieces to the puzzle of the team getting 4 instead of 3, or 3 instead of 2 bids. I'm imagining that the bracketologists won't be able to ignore SLU and Richmond much longer if they keep this up. Quote Quote
Taj79
On halftime of Dayton game, Joey Brackets came on and gave love to Dayton, VCU, Rhode Island, Davidson and Richmond as A10 potential brackets makers. Didn't even mention us, Mason or Duquesne. And I get that for Mason and Duquesne who have played no one. But real nice pub there Joey. Auburn ranked 16th. I do admit, some of his rankings I just can't figure out. i.e. Liberty is ranked 71, looking at its record, other then Radford ranked 129, all are ranked 178 or higher, several in the 300 range.
