Sheltiedave
Val Pelizzaro was laid out last night, and his funeral is today. He served as the assistant soccer coach from 1967 to 1992, under both Keough and Clarke. During his tenure we won five national soccer titles. Multiple sons played for Saint Louis, and the Pelizzaro name became synonymous with Saint Louis University soccer. He was a kind gentleman, a true friend to all, and a person we all should strive to emulate. Rest easy, Val. cgeldmacher, prebilliken, SLU_Lax and 3 others like this
Major Majerus
Did his family have a local “Hill” background ?
Sheltiedave
They lived down in the Hill section of Carondelet, and were St. Boniface parishioners. He had two caps for the national team.
