2 new 2023 offers: Brock Harding and Jamyron Keller. Harding has a bio in the Recruiting Lists thread. Keller is a new name to me. I'll have a bio up later and post both here once I do.

Harding was only a matter of time.  Illinois second team-all state as a junior.  He can stroke it, he can handle it, he's a plus passer and is a pest on defense.  He just needs to build up his body.

Here's the latest offer (I think - trying to keep up):

Mouhamed Dioubate - F, 6-7, 215 - Queens, NY (Putnam Science Academy, CT) - AAU: PSA Cardinals (Nike EYBL) - Twitter: @MoDioubate
Offers: Saint Louis, VCU, Rhode Island, Duquesne, George Washington, La Salle, St. John's, Saint Peter's, Siena, Bryant.

Interest: St. Bonaventure, Connecticut, Providence, Xavier, Seton Hall, DePaul, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Maryland, Northwestern, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Houston, Boise State, South Florida, Saint Mary's, Yale, Columbia, Brown, Northern Illinois, IUPUI, UNC-Wilmington, Louisiana, Holy Cross, Northeastern, Towson, Iona, Quinnipiac, Albany, UMBC, Florida Gulf Coast, Seattle, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Loyola-Maryland, Howard, South Carolina State.

Latest News: Dioubate received an offer from SLU. (4/13/22)

Scouting Report: Dioubate is a well rounded combo forward who rebounds everything at both ends. He's a double-double machine. He has good handles, vision, and playmaking ability. He's a lefty but finishes strong with both hands. He has a solid mid-range jumper that he's working to extend. He's a hard worker that his HS coach described as low-maintenance, high-production. He reclassified from the 2022 to the 2023 class and transferred from John Bowne HS in Queens to Putnam in CT after his sophomore year.

So he profiles like French basically?  Same AAU team even.  For those who would say French didn’t have an outside shot, I’d tell you to go back and watch his HS highlights. He shot jumpers, handled the ball, etc.

I wouldn't say that. French was a true at-the-basket big man, could play the 4 or 5 but probably a little short at either position. Dioubate has developed more as a SF/PF hybrid and guards the 3 a lot. He's more of a slasher in terms of his offense. Good mid-range jumper and he's trying to develop as a perimeter shooter, too. But he led the EYBL in rebounding this weekend, which I think caught some people off guard.

He doesn't have a ton of offers and he got offers from all the A10 schools that had coaching changes, so I think the timing here is key. No matter what happens to his stock this summer, it's going to feel like SLU was on him early.

how much did french weigh as a freshman?   i dont know but he seems like he was always built like an nfl tight end and at 6'6" i doubt he weighed under 225.

He was already listed at 225 back in 2016. Has never really needed to add or subtract much weight.

What happened to his outside shot? He didn’t have one here.

That’s what I’m saying. His HS highlights looked like a totally different player. He probably had a green light to do whatever he wanted there, which obviously wasn’t gonna fly here.

we're talking about the same guy who apparently shoots 80% from FT's outside of games.

We should change the title of this thread. It should be called “free agency 2023.”

Offers and commitments don’t matter anymore it’s all about the cash.
why would any of these kids commit to a school unless they are getting paid?

Should SLU Basketball Incorporate or operate as an LLC?

Saint Louis Billiken Basketball, Inc.   or

Saint Louis Billiken Basketball, LLC

Which has the better tax implications for it's "employees"?  Can the 'employees' unionize easier one way or the other?

Best be ahead of the curve.  It's all heading this way.

The best approach, for tax implications, is that we establish it as a separate church, and the players become masters of ceremony.

Hasahn French’s most important asset was how fast he could jump for a rebound and if missed shot jump again quicker th anyone else on court. I hope we never have free throw shooter like him again; Goodwin finally, got a little better on free throws his final year

I believe this was SLU's first offer in the 2023 class, although I'm not sure how much we've been involved with him since the initial offer. Trevor Smith just committed to Richmond.
