johnbj14
Today, the Wall Street Journal published its annual rankings of college basketball program valuations. SLU comes in at number 78 with a value of $29.8 million. That is a 23.3% increase from last season. The following is the valuation methodology: "The annual study assesses what every college team would be worth if it could be bought and sold on the open market like a professional franchise. Brewer’s analysis takes into account each program’s revenues and expenses with cash-flow adjustments, risk assessments and growth projections." If interested, check out the article. They only valued 177 programs, but it is an interesting list. https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-much-is-your-college-basketball-team-worth-11554739458?mod=searchresults&page=1&pos=1 rgbilliken likes this

Slu let the dogs out?
I read this fast so it's probably inaccurate but it looks like Saint Louis would only be higher than Seton Hall (87) in Big East and is third in A10 behind Dayton (18) and VCU (49). Our ranking would presumably rise if we were actually in the Big East. Big East: 26 - Marquette 28 - Villanova 38 - Xavier 50 - Georgetown 56 - Providence 59 - Butler 65 - St. John's 67 - Creighton 68 - DePaul
