I plugged last year's final NET into our 18/19 schedule.  The average was 169.  Then I looked at the 18/19 NET and used them for this season's schedule (yeah, I know....)  The average is 159, but that excludes any NET for Maryville.  If I arbitrarily enter 300 for their NET, then the average is 170.  Starting out of the box, this season's OOC may be similar to last season's.

Last season we had three Quad 1 OOC games.  It looks like we may have three again this season.

Doesn't the NET, just like the RPI, not count non-Div. 1 opponents?  What's the point of plugging in a number to skew the average?  The NCAA committee won't do that.

No on NET on D 2.

Maryville is on the schedule. I’m simply attempting to compare last year’s OOC with this year’s. Without putting them in the mix, this seasons OOC looks tougher than it really is.

Its okay if you don’t like what I did.

Okay, I see your point.  I don't totally agree, though.  The Maryville game is basically an exhibition and doesn't really reflect on the strength of the non-conference schedule.

Your last line wasn't really necessary.

Valpo seems like a hlluva buy game. Wouldn't have really minded a home & home with them. A 2-for-1 home and home, kind of like the deal we cut with Auburn, would have been good.

Believe it or not outside of Chicago, St Louis has the largest amount of Valpo alumni and the Crusaders have two games, the other being SIUE on Nov. 12, in the SL area.

FYI, last time you played at Valpo most of your fans called Valparaiso the worst podunk town they had ever played in. Not my words, right from this board.

Dayton at home on a Friday night, not a Saturday or Sunday but I'll take it

I hate that the game AT Davidson is on that stupid watchstadium stream.

Also we have 3 Sundays and 2 Fridays.

I say this every year, the Dayton game should always be played on Mardi Gras parade day.  The times it has been played on that day have had an unbelievable crazy crowd. Even the Dayton fans are well lubricated.

Instead we get VCU at 9 PM the day before parade.

SLUBillikens says 11 national broadcast games. I assume that means NBCSN, CBSSN, and ESPN 1 ;or 2 or U? I'm hoping FOXSMW picks up the majority of our home games. They did last year. I think I only missed about 5-6 games last year where I couldn't get the broadcast. 11 doesn't sound like a lot. Anyone know if FSMW is signed on to broadcast most of our home games?

I like the 9 PM game. Plenty of time to eat and drink before the game on a Friday night.

They mean 11 in-conference games on a national network - NBCSN, CBSSN, ESPNU/ESPN2, and Stadium. Basically everything with a network in the "TV" column in the link above.

The rest are on ESPN+ and generally picked up by FSMW.
