Who am I missing:

Eastern Washington - 11/13

High Point - 11/20

Belmont - 11/23

Boston College - 11/27

Seton Hall - ??

SIUC - 12/1

Tulane - 12/8

Auburn - 12/14

K State - 12/21

This is a solid non-conference schedule. I have to believe we'll have a home game before 11/13. I'd imagine the remaining games to round out the schedule will be played at home?

Arizona in December sounds pretty good to me.

It is better in February with 65 degree weather (at sea level, Phoenix) and oranges hanging from trees. The natives think it is  incredibly cold and go around wearing parkas and gloves. But no, there will be no basketball for us in Arizona next February.

This is a really good OOC schedule. Best since my freshman year (70-1). That year we had UCLA, Marq, Notre Dame, Ill, Mizzou, Michigan, Cincy & Dayton.

My compliments to Ford & the AD.

KU transfer and former AAC player of the year KJ Lawson is doing his grad year at Tulane. That and the hiring of proven college coach Ron Hunter should be enough to elevate them to double digit wins.

they have 5 transfers coming in, not sure how many of those are eligible next year.

New coach and better players this year

Well they can't get much worse than last year. They are still being picked dead last in the AAC in this way too early poll.

Last year Central Ark at 297, NCC at 302 N. Al at 310 and SEMO at 320 made it very difficult to envision an At-Large bid.  Good thing we won the A10 Tourney.

Cincy was in in the MVC, Al. Miss that conference. It was one of the best back in the day.

Larry, Cincy was out by 70-1 and played as an Independent.

I see they left in 1969:

Curious Larry, are you going to the Auburn game in Birmingham?

Unless something comes up I should be able to make it.

Planning on it. I'll stay in ATL w/my daughter's family and then head to Birmingham the morning of the game and spend that night in Alabama.

Another way too early poll also has Tulane last in the AAC.  Not seeing this as a + game for us unless we can parlay the game as a way to play more AAC teams in the future.

Decent name recognition. Hopefully a win. Need a few of those.

There will also be (likely) three more games added to the #Billiken OOC schedule. All buy-games. An opener which could be an exhibition, one during finals week, and one between Christmas and New Years.

Seems to me we need 4 more non-conference games plus one (or even two) exhibition games depending on whether we do the closed preseason scrimmage. We can schedule as many as 13 non-conference games and there are only 9 listed on the schedule so far.

Looking back at last year, we had 8 non-conf home games; 9 conf home games and 2 exhib for a total of 19 gates.  I assume that this is the number that they shoot for each year.  I seem to recall that tournaments, like our game with BC and Tulane this year and Pitt and Fla St last year have some impact on number of games a team can schedule.  Fla St was a one time game so it might not have had an impact on games we could play, kind of like Auburn this year. One thing that might impact our number of home gates is the K-ST game in KC.  I don't think we had anything comparable last year.

Confused?  I know I am.  Let's hope we can get this announced soon
