Hence why he gets the ball 25 feet from the basket with 10 seconds left on the clock. Those long-range threes have been Bess's way of turning lemons into lemonade. In the 2nd half there's a tendency for Goodwin in particular to give up the ball earlier in the shot clock giving Bess a better opportunity to score. An actual point guard would do this naturally. He's a no-frills player that lets the game come to him. The problem is when you're playing with guards who don't understand how halfcourt offense works, the game rarely comes to him.
