Especially , the rebound battle....they are a weak rebounding team, we need to take advantage of this. Put away the short shots and fast breaks....there will be less opportunity from the arc. What Can Go Wrong...To be known in the future as WCGW....They can get hot from the 3pt land....Also, we don't make our slash ....It is a pretty low bar BUT it is good enough to win with our top D....42/31/58.9...I put the decimal in the FT stat because it is the only thing between us and the black hole. Bottom line....This is ours to win...There will be no easy conference games...parity...Should be a big day for French ...he is a good match for this team....Take Care of Business (TCOB) and we win" The 2nd worst shooting team in FT shooting and we win on FT shooting in the final minute...again....so I will say it again....we need to go to the foul line like there is 1 min left in the game....no matter how much time is left. Rebounding came in as expected...dominated by SLU....41-29.....slash also came in as expected...projected....42/31/58.9.... actual 39/33/60.9 ...one 2 pt basket short...We made the stop on Honors... projected 12 ...actual 6pts...and even though 3 other guys scored in double figures the combined gain above 9 pts was 5 pts....since we held Honor to 6 below ...the Bills had a net gain of 1 on the scoring ...again about right...TOs were 12 ... a good number about right. So almost all the numbers were about right ...so why didn't we make the spread?....Why was the game so close?...The key was the TO differential....even though the Bills had a very respectable 12 TOs , Fordham had an amazing TO rate of 7... This lack of mistakes allowed the Rams to stay close all game....and knocked 10 pts off the spread. We still could have made the spread with a decent shooting night ...remember , that projected spread was a minimum to win.... But a win is a win....A 3 pt win looks the same in the standings as a 13 pt win. Since the actual spread was 7-12 pts in favor of the Bills....the fact that we fell short of the 7 will hurt our numbers...but hey, our FT average went up tonight...How can 60.8% be good? ....When they are game winners at the end ...it is all good...I guess you could say it was a "Good--win" Tip o' the cap to....Goodwin 20 pts....missed the double double by 1 rebound. and Bess who did make the double double...17pts 11 reb Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
