FG 14-29 48%, 3pt 3-8 37%, FT 6-9 66%, assists 4 yikes and turnovers 9, rebounds 22-13 Bills. Scoring JGood 8, Izzy 6, Bess 6, Hankton 6, DJ3, Thatch 3, Wiley 3 and French 2. 12 points off the bench. Pistol Posted January 13, 2019 Share Posted January 13, 2019 37-27 at half. Biggest lead was 13. Couldn't quite build on that but we didn't cough it up, either. I love the hustle by Isabell with 6 seconds left, getting down the floor and hitting an open Bess for a good look at a 3. Smart, unselfish play. Good last few minutes after a tough start. Goodwin looks solid again. See my last post for stats. Bess has been okay. At least he's hitting his FTs, because no one else is. Wiley is rusty. Hankton can make shots. Jacobs and Thatch are freshmen. It's a miracle Foreman only has 2 TOs. I'm glad French is feeling good enough to have returned. Whew. Both big men have 5 boards. We normally force teams into worse shooting than that. 9 turnovers at half, more than we had in the last game. Unless we're going to score at a higher rate, we can't afford 9 more in the second half. Their schedule was also BRUTAL for a new coach. Florida on the road, Northwestern, Grand Canyon, and Miami in the Wooden Legacy, Big 5 games against Temple, Villanova, Penn (and Drexel), and Bucknell.
